I really like Indiana at home this week getting the points. They were torched by MSU and their running game for 360+ yards last year up at state and the Indiana defense is better this season.
They took a tough loss to a very quality Ball State team last week because they were obviously looking ahead to Michigan St. This is the conference opener for the Hoosiers and Michigan St. is coming off a nice win over a rival in Notre Dame. T
he public is hitting this game very hard and it will only get more uneven as the week goes on. I fully expect to get 10+ by the weeks end. Michigan St. pounded this team last year, and I wouldnt be suprised to see them overlook this game in anticipation of their revenge spot next week against Iowa.
Michigan St. has played four games thus far, and two of them have come against teams in the Top 25 in rushing this year. Both Cal and Eastern Michigan (In the limited carries before blow-out) both ran the ball well against this Spartan defense.
Now, they are facing Indiana and their offense that gains about 270 yards per game. I like their chances in moving the ball on the ground and shoterning this game up. With MSU and their desire to run the ball, I would expect that getting 10 points would be a very valuable asset for the Hoosiers.
Michigan St. is not the greatest defensive team to start with. The have only recorded 3 sacks thus far this season and Lewis is very mobile. I dont expect many long down and distances for the Hoosiers.
The Hoosier defense was embarrassed last year by this Michigan St run game, and since their is very little passing attack from Michigan St...I expect a very inspired effort this week from Indiana. Im going to wait and see where this line goes, but Im sure the public will be all over the Spartans.
