Historically pitchers struggle going from the national league to the american league. Teams in the American league feature more offensive lineups and dont have the standard given out or sacrifice of a pitcher batting. Also pitching with a new catcher is a very hard change to overcome, espically for a young pitcher like Snell. Snell has been struggling in the national league all yr long, posting a record of 2-8 with an era in the mid 5's. Snell has had particular problems getting out right handed hitters, as his era runs up to mid 6's this yr facing them. Making your first american league start on the road is hard enough, let alone facing such an offensive lineup as the Rangers will send out. I look for snell to get into trouble early and often.

I agree. He's got headcase problems and just can't take it. I'm already on Texas tonight just because he's pitching, throw in the fact that Seattle's offense is bums. I REALLY like my chances :toast:

i think its a good let down spot for the rangers, coming off king felix pitching well last night, a new pitcher on the mound tonight, its a getaway game for the mariners, i just cant see the scoring enough runs in support of snell. Only way i can see texas losing, is if feldman brings horrible stuff tonight and gets shelled.

i wouldnt go nuts on the game, as personally ive been trying to limit myself to only my chase bets, but ive picked my spots here and there (like dodgers game 4 vs cards, since the dodgers are the only team not to get swept in a series this yr, i was willing to lay the juice on them). tonight is another spot i like. small play.

You know these baseball people think just like us gamblers for the most part.

They brought Snell up just to face this line up as they also crunch numbers.
