Certain sports/positions the mental and physical threshold to succeed is just so high that the type of people that can do it tend to not be the most interesting characters. Peyton Manning has had some funny clips over the years, but he is also mostly a drone as well. I remember being kinda stunned when the Colts won the superbowl over the Bears and he finally got over the hump. What did he look like he wanted to do? Take a nap, didn't even seem to derive that much enjoyment out of winning. Federer and the tennis players come to mind as well. These sports/positions just don't really lend themselves to the most dynamic/charismatic of personalities.
