It wasn't cross country just in certian markets where local stations are more likely to take the advertising cash since in a lot of ways it is a grey area. Was it for bodog sportsbook or for bodog poker btw?

They are advertising www.bodog.net not www.bodog.com . Bodog.net is a leadin site with no gambling which makes the ad legal. Once you get into bodog.net it has links to the real bodog.com gambling site.

BOS, Has been advertising on my local radio station for a few weeks now...

The ad leads people to call to found out stats and lines on games, nothing about gambling... all except their name... BET ON SPORTS...

And why are poker sites allowed to get away with so much more?

The point is they are not advertising direct sportsbetting sites Journeyman.

Check out www.partypoker.net or www.bodog.net You cannot gamble 1 cent of real money at these sites. Thats why they are able to place ads on television.

You will never see a www.partypoker.com or www.bodog.com ad because it is illegal. Once you login to these .net sites then they have links to the real .com sites where the real money is bet.
