When you sign an agreement, you should stick to it.

Pats haters havent had to worry about them winning anything for 6 years. Hell, Pats fans got to feel like Yankees fans for a day a few years ago.

Yes I am absolutely a Pat hater, and with good reason I believe. But to answer your other question, I am a Tampa fan.

As for the reason I hate The Patriots, the final straw was Robert Kraft using my state like a crack whore. I grew up watching the Patriots on NBC and used to love Randy Vataha, but slowly things changed. It started when that fat f*ck came in and basically made them the New England Giants with new colors and lots of his old players coming with him. Then the whole not moving to Hartford because it wasnt Boston, although Foxboro isnt quite a Boston suburb either.

Right or wrong, those are my reasons.

I can understand why you would be pissed. Kraft just was just playing the game our elected criminals played on him.
Originally Kraft had it all set up to move into the back bay area of Boston it would have been the jewel of the NFL.Built on the waterfront Like San Fran baseball stadium. But all the elected criminals wanted a piece of the action.Like true Mass. political hacks they wanted a taste with no skin in the game.
Then Hartford became the option, which I would have loved myself (hour ride down 91)...But the political hacks gave in and gave money for infastructure to build in Foxboro. But he built the stadium on his own dime.Ma. gave him the infastucture so it wouldn't lose ANOTHER billion dollar industry, moving to CT.
Kraft was not the villian in this it was the greedy pols,as usual.

It was Orthwein who changed the uniform not Kraft.I still and always liked the red ,white and blue uniforms with pat patriot logo. Its a classic.Much more marketable too IMO.Just bad history.

sorry Nick, but you were collateral damage

and the Jets are in the same place as the Pats are right now, just without the tradition, history and success that gives one thick skin

Yeah But we were there a little longer than the Pats. :)

I'm disappointed the JETS did not make it in the superbowl because I would have like to see an all green SB.

Pitt in there yet once again is not doing a whole lot for me.

Not sure why all the hate for Jets "Fans"

as a Jets fan, I Only made One Post/Thread ... I never went in and said we are Going to the Super Bowl, I never rubbed it in anyone's Face....

I mean are you taking about the Fans on TV ? You mean as a fan of ANY Team
the Fans aren't going to get Excited ? and After Beating the "Best" Team in the NFL ?? Forget about that it was the Pats with the best Record....and On Fire since Week 3
But Any best Team in General ??

And like others say.... It's Not like the Jets have been there for Years.... Up close and going to Playoffs ...Year in and Year Out

They have become a Better Team the last 2 years........

They Still Beat the Colts and the Pats at Home ! Give them "Some" Credit !

I understand the Hate on Rex ! Shit ! I wish most of the Time he would just STFU !

I don't think he was referring to you in particular Mike.

Agreed.

The loss wouldn't have been that bad, but all the talk before and after. Say what you want about the Pats, but they keep pretty quiet before and after games.

Agree, all but One.....and He paid the price...

Welker regrets commets about Jets' Ryan

There is one more footnote to add to this season's Jets-Patriots saga.
New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker told the Boston Herald on Monday that he regrets his decision to poke fun at Jets coach Rex Ryan by sprinkling numerous references to feet into his weekly meeting with the local media.

When asked whether he regretted the press conference prank, Welker said, "Yeah, sure I do."

“I’m not going to get into any details about it, but I don’t think it’s worth putting coach [Belichick] in that situation,” he said. “So in a sense, I do regret it ... As much as you might want to get enticed into that stuff, at the end of the day, it’s just not worth it.”

Welker's comments, which included lines like "putting our best foot forward" and acting like "good little foot soldiers" were out of character for the Patriots, who were advised by coach Bill Belichick to avoid engaging in a trash talk war with the notoriously chatty Jets.

Belichick benched Welker for the Patriots' first offensive series of last Sunday's 28-21 AFC Divisional Round loss.

Welker, who is set to play Sunday in the Pro Bowl, told The Herald that in the future he will focus on not getting drawn into the trash talking.
"It’s about the team and going out there and playing good football. And not getting caught up in all the media hype. It’s just not worth it."

But the 29-year-old admitted, "it’s not always easy to keep a lid on it."

Please Mike, through all the years, all the talk (not just by the jets either), you come up with one example of a quick tongue-in-cheek 20 second sound bite where he was trying to be funny and not calling people out......

That is the best you can come up with?

I expected more from you sir.

Oh, and for the record, I agree with most of what is being said about a number of Boston fans. There happens to be alot of exceptions though.

I was saying this about the Pats last week. People kept saying "those Pats fans," like we were the only ones who picked the Pats against the Jets. Most Pats fans I know were worried about the Jets, but people kept saying we didn't give them respect.
Let the people hate BAS...three years ago I didn't give a shit about the Jets, now I hate them. Just means they are relevant now.
BTW in the NFL forum there was a bunch a trash talk and I haven't seen one post from those talkers since the Jets lost.

I'm with Nick on this one, we got reamed. I was going to be a season ticket holder, even sent in my money. But I asked for it back once they reneged. One of the dumbest decisions of my life.

Cincy, the NFL gave Kraft a low interest loan to build the stadium, otherwise we had him.

As for the Whalers, we put a better package on the table, were building a brand new state of the art facility and sold more season ticket packages. The commissioner didn't want a franchise in CT. He believed the NY/BOS markets would absorb CT and he wanted to expand down south. That one still pisses me off, we would of had a great facility for UConn hoops.

Fact is, if the Jets would have won, I'd be rooting for them in the SB. I like the brand of football they play.

I use to catch Whalers games at the mall..I liked the whale they were my 2nd fav team next to the Bruins and rising fast. I saw the Whalers when they were the Boston Whalers play aginst the Qubec Nordiques in 1973.

Can you imagine a Bruins,Whalers,Rangers,Islander,Devils Buffallo division?

fun for all

I dont remember them as the Boston Whalers, but I would have been 6 at the time.

Since you have said your up 91, Im guessing you watched your share of games in Springfield when the roof collapsed in Hartford.

And Willie is right, Bettman didnt want any part of The Whalers in Hartford, even though he allowed 3 teams in NY. In their last season, Hartford had over 90% capacity in ticket sales fior the season. It wasnt about them not being supported by the fans, it was a business decision by Karmanos and Bettman

It's not you, BAS. You've been a pretty decent supporter.

It's Cromartie. It's Bart Scott. It's LT. It's Rexy.

... and it's all the moronic Jets fans that we had to listen to on Boston radio for a week. They won't call 660 or 1050 in NYC, they have to call 850 or 98.5 in Boston.

They've all died or something because they don't call in anymore.
