Jason White won the heisman for a reason, his numbers back him up for that. You dont take a piece(one song) out of somebodys music and say thats what there about, do ya? Of course not.

You dont take a game especially the Sugar Bowl the championship game, and say White blows. It was one night, one championship game.

I think you guys are totally wrong, and furthermore, its about time LSU TIGERS gain some respect, cause maybe JUST MAYBE..

THERE DEFENSE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(SEVERAL BLITZ PACKAGES COMING OUT OF MEXICO)

NOT EVEN BRETT FARVE THE GREAT CAN RUN AWAY!!!

Jason White looks good because he has a solid team around him. Did he deserve the Heisman? Absolutely not! I would rather have Roethlisberger or Manning over him anyday. Hell, I could name 10 qb's that I would rather have then him.
I give credit to LSU's defense, and that was part of the reason that White was in trouble all game. But with a better QB Oklahoma would have had a much better chance at winning the game. His 40-6 TD to INT ratio has been blown way out of proportion due to the level of competition. He played against 3 good teams this year; Texas, KState, and LSU where he threw 4td's (all against Texas) and 4 INt's while posting a 1-2 record.

a TRUE man of character would have taken himself OUT OF THE game if he was physically hurt to the point that he was a detriment to the team.. I really believe White was going on 2 bum knees, a turf toe and a broken wrist. He should have been man enough to admit it and be taken out to give his team a chance...too many players are looking for individual performances and put the team 2nd. HE COST THEM THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP..there was no doubt. OU only really gave up 1 scoring drive to LSU which wasn't bad and the D gave them the 2 TD's...LSU knew he wouldn't go deep on them and stacked the line for the run and pretty much stopped OU all night. Stoops is at fault too for not pulling him...

with all due respect to lsu and ou fans--jason white blows--he had a terrible game--and ya sure it could happen to anybody--but white had his chances to complete some big plays and failed--over throw--over throw --over throw. i believe if ou had healthly qb that studied the lsu d(it was no secret what they were going to do) they would have one--lsu qb 10x better than white(more mobile and 100x better head during the game) white had his chances to make plays--but he just does not have the talent--much better qb's in college football than him--much better players than him--big 12 this year turned out to be not to strong when playing out of conference--but its over now what could you do--i do not mean to argue with anybody just my opinion. the guy sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and it cost me money so i'm bashing him!!!!!!

Jason White is a good college QB and deserved the Heisman. The problem he faced in the Sugar bowl was that his coach couldn't figure out how to give him time to throw. They should have been throwing short routes instead of the 15-20 yard plays. After getting knocked around every other play he was fearing for his life. If Stoops would have called the right plays Jason White would have ahad a much better day. It's hard to blame White for Oklahoma losing.

Based on the numbers prior to the Big 12 Championship White did deserve a look for the Heisman. But based on the ENTIRE season NO!! He did beat Tx, which considering Brown`s record in big games is not a big deal. In the 2 most important games of the season he was a miserable failure. I do agree some of the blame should fall on Stoops however. Once again as w/Neb. a team that couldn`t win it`s own conference somehow winds up playing for the Nat`l Title That is one change the NCAA needs to make. The 2 best QB`s I saw this yr were Roethlisberger & Leinart. LSU vs SC would be a classic. The SC cheerleaders are the best bar none, those short little white skirts etc. etc. Sorry lost my train of thought there for a minute.

I think White's final numbers are indeed Heisman worthy. They are slightly better than last year's Heisman winner. I could argue Matt Leinert had a better year, but I think he also has better weapons than White.

I for one believe the Heisman should go to the Most Outstanding Player...isn't that what the award is for?

And with that I don't know how in the world you could award it to White, he is not even the most outstanding player on his own team. By that I mean you could put 30 other QB's in his shoes playing for that team and they would have similar or better numbers. He's not even the best QB in the Big 12!!!!!

I personally think that no one was more deserving of the Heisman Trophy than Ben Rothlisburger. His numbers blow away White, as he completed nearly 70% of his passes. Obviously, consideration must be given to the level of competition he faced. But if you take Ben Rothlisburger off of Miami and replace him with...let's say Jason White, they are not anywhere near a top 10 team, much less a top 20 team. No way Jason White puts up BR-type numbers playing for another team. Put Ben Rothlisburger on Oklahoma's team and they may win a national championship.

No disrespect to Larry Fitzgerald, but my vote definitely goes to the big man from Miami, OH.

The Heisman is becoming a joke, just like the BCS. How many winners have won because their team did well the first 11 games of the season then chokes against the good competition.

I personally like Roethlisberger. The reason why this hurts White is because of the perception it gives to the people who the NFL scouts They may say that against great teams he's not as good as he is against average teams. Also NFL teams want players who can win and rise above the pressure of the BIG GAME.

I think Roethlisberger is going to be a great NFL QB. White probably won't even get drafted. The best college player does not always transalte into the best NFL player.

Look at Dorsey, he was drafted in the 7th round by the niners.

White is your typical Hesiman Winner that will only see A SUNDAY GAME (other than the one vs LSU) if the 4th Strong QB goes down...

This guy was a product of a good system and is not a real good QB....plus he walks on two bad pegs...I PASS..

You could have stuck in BELLOSORRY ..that Jacka$$ from old at Ohio State in and he would have thrown 40 TDS with OKLA

Hello...GINO TORETTA....
