I still rather have McNabb then Brady. If you watched the game, probably 80 -90% of Brady's throws were before 5 yards after the line of scrimmage. I think Trent Dilfer could make the same type of throws that Brady did. He missed horribly on his deep balls, most of them by 5 yards or more.

McNabb had a lot of bad throws but he avoided a lot of sacks that Brady would have never been able to get away from. The guy has great pocket presence but if he had one less interception the Eagles would probably have won.

Good points by Kobe...Brady wasn't stellar in this game. Good enough but not stellar.

I agree, I take McNabb and his 1-4 record in the biggest games of his life over Pretty Boy Brady also, those 3 INTs really the Pats! :sad3:

He's still a better QB than Brady. Brady just did less to hurt his team ;).

how can you say you'd rather have mcnabb than brady? brady doesn't make mistakes when the game is on the line. mcnabb clearly did. that is so much more important than arm strength or mobility.

as far as comparing dilfer to brady...that's so ridiculous i wont even comment.

the original point of this thread was the horrible clock mgmt by the eagles and...i agree, it could have cost them the game in the end. i also agree with the others in this thread who stated that philly had many chances to take control of this game and didn't do it. they gave new england the game and the pats took it.

Forget all that. Reid's decision to go for the onside was the worst of them all. The Eagles were struggling to move the ball offensively and with McNabb out of rhythm pretty much the whole game I think the 2 minute drill wasn't a great idea. But the worst was not kicking it off. The Eagles could have had the ball around their own 40 with 55 seconds left, just needing to get 25 yards to get within Akers range for a potential game tying kick. Instead a horrendous attempt at an onside pretty much sealed it. I hate to say it, but Andy Reid got terribly outcoached. He kept running that same sweep that the Pats don't let anyone run on them. He used Westbrook in a bunch of weird ways when a simple block and then release over the middle was his best pattern all day. He didn't roll out McNabb anywhere near enough, he just left him there in the middle of the pocket all day to face a pretty good blitz. Despite it all the Eagles still racked up good yards. The coach deserves a lot of the blame for the team really not having a shot at winning down the stretch. They still might not have won, but they deserved a better shot at it than he gave them.
