Granted I am sox fan, but check this out
Wake is 4-2 during the day this year and 6-2 on the road. His era on the road is 3.9

Zito is 4-6 during day games
sox as a team are batting 275 as a team during day games with the big boys Nomar and manny hitting over 300. sox hitting 285 vs lefties and manny owns lefties. I know Zito is good, but he has not been great and Oak is batting 241 against wake as a team and Boston as a team, after a loss is hitting 294 vs lefties. If Oak. takes pitches and wake cant' throw strikes we have a whole new ball game, but this looks like 1. a game should get over 8.52. red sox have some value here to score some runs and Foulke has to be tired today. I think if Wake gets out of the first 3 innings, this game goes to the sox. I just talked my slef into them

I think it may only be a trap if the A's feel sorry for the red sox for beating them late.
