When you attend any 12 step meeting including GA you don't have to say anything if don't want to. If they happen to go around the table and introduce themselves just say hello everyone, I am here to just listen today, thank you. Then you do just that - sit back and listen. You will hear stories from people in the process of recovery, some newbies, some oldtimers and others with 6 months or a year without a bet all kinds of gambers with all different stories, and lengths of time without betting. Try to identify with at least one of the speakers it helps to know you are not alone, you may hear someone who has done the exact same things you have while gambling.
