Insiders, thats exactly what i said... they may stop the instant things but dont see how Fed Ex would be stopped... or WU for that matter... My friend owns a business with a WU in it.. ive done many transactions in this manner and never once had a problem... whats the difference in me sending money to "a person" in panama or my friend Antonio sending money to his family in panama... they cant enforce it..

i think everyone is blowing this out of proportion, let them pass it. but they cant stop it.. parlay cards are illegal here, but lots play them, including cops.. ive had them on my store counter before, with deputies in the store.. these things wont be enforced..

Where does the recent WTO ruling come into play in all this?

Thats the problem fish. The gov now has two bills up that directly oppose that pact. In a more interesting move the people who supported that bill names can not be found among the current supporters of the current bill
I wonder why?

Maybe I'm the one that's missing the point here. I'm only concerned with not being a criminal. As I type this at this very moment it is NOT a CRIME for me to fund my account by whatever means. (There may be roadblocks with Western Union or we could call them detours if you like that word better, but it's NOT ILLEGAL NOW) With the Leach bill, it does NOT MATTER HOW I fund the same account---IT'S ILLEGAL. I guess that's not a concern here as long as you can fund the account and receive in WHATEVER manner.

No-one to date has been convicted on a federal level of playing offshore and only 1 single guy from North Dakota was even charged with some small state charge.
With Leach---THAT"S HISTORY!!!! The government would only need to convict some and that would then scare the bejesus out of the rest!

Bottom line is this everyone, it comes down to votes. Everyone is talking a good game now but politicians spend way to much time and money trying to split the votes up. Brass tacks to brass tacks when it comes to the true light of the day they will not line up and be seen to be taking americans rights away. This issue has the effect of galvanization across the country and can cost them millions of votes across the board and many seats is congress and other places. The american people have a short memeory but this is something they will remember and make them pay for. You can make an argument for the other things they have taken away but as one person in here alluded to, it will be the last straw.

Even if we can still fund our accounts and gamble off shore, the problem is that a lot of recreational gambles won't go through the trouble of doing so. We need these folks to balance out our bets.

The Leach bill makes it a crime for the player to fund..... Read the bold print in Dante's comments' from the actual language. Matters not if the bank account is legal---then you could be charge also with washing or "laundrying" funds.
I just hope it doesn't pass--It's one of my few pleasures in life.
Whoson1st- I mean no disrespect by this, but you have got to be the most paranoid person I've seen. I've read your posts for the past few years, and it seems that you live in daily fear of going to prison for placing a few bets. It's not going to happen. Even if they actually criminalize it, which I doubt will happen, you won't get sent to the slammer for something equivalent of a speeding ticket. I really feel that you should move to Nevada, because it's clear that you love to bet. Your mind would be completely at ease that way. Just my thoughts, but I think you should think about it. If you don't like Vegas, you could always move to the Lake Tahoe area.
