I think all game 7s should be on a neutral court for every sport of a seasons final.

Not in the conference finals or the earlier rounds but if there is a game 7 I think they should be played at a random location.

A game 7 of the NBA or MLB is a big enough event that it would sellout anywhere.

Of course the game may never be played but I think that's the way it should be.

3 home games for both teams and if it's still tied take a week off and play a game 7 at a predetermined location.

That week off after game 6 gives plenty of time for the networks to hype the game up.
Plenty of time for people to buy tickets and make travel arrangements.

In baseball both teams Ace would get to pitch . It would be great for all the sports involved.

This goes for basketball, baseball and hockey.

total shenanigans

Why?

Only negitive is you would have to reserve a huge building for an event that may not ever take place but that's about it.

Chop...

not a good BIZ model..

so you want to hold ...hotels, local biz and whatever else hostage...

for a Game 7...

what about the other people who need the money for Game 7 (home)
the Airlines
the locals

the list goes on...

All, counting on their team to Win Game 7 ..in their Home Town

Well that's why there would be at least 7 days between game 6 and 7. Heck maybe you could make it 10 or 14 days.

7-15 days...doesn't matter

You wouldn't have the intensity that you should have with a neutral court..

I don't like the neutral court idea.

Besides, what is truly neutral - a court that is evenly 1,000 miles from each city?

People that have seasons tickets would have to fly to go to their teams finals?

The home team's fans deserve to be able to go to game 7, and not have to travel.

It has merit for the finals in the sense that you will often get the team who has the better record from the worse conference. So hca for the conference rounds makes more sense.

The problem is that the nba regular season and the nhl regular season are already near meaningless for teams with a pulse. This would make it even more meaningless.

For some reason I would be more excited about tomorrow's game if it was at MSG then if it was at GS

And I would not be against all 7 games being at a fixed location.

I can see where you're coming from Chop, but that would take away the whole meaning of the regular season & part of what you fight for throughout the year...
