Actually Troy runs a 4.46... which is fast

Ohio St may say he runs 4.46 but I promise you when he goes to the combines in Indianapolis (if he goes there) he will NOT run that fast. I have been an avid reader of the draft reports for years and 1 thing that is blown out of proportion is these guys 40 times in college then come combine day they always run slower. I still have the Kiper sheet where Barry Sanders ran 4.48 and Troy Smith doesn't ran as fast as Barry Sanders.

If he runs at the Indy combine and he will be timed electronically, I am willing to bet $1,000 that he won't break a 4.5. In fact I would be willing to bet he is a 4.7 if he runs there (not at his school). In 1991 draft report the only guy to break 4.4 was Randall Hill and you turn on every game on any Saturday during the fall and the announcers will tell you about all these 4.3 guys. It just isn't true.

I am not a big "time" guy. I can just watch and see who is fast and who isn't and those that think smith has vick and vince type speed are simply mistaken.

I agree 100%. I am not a huge CFB fan so I haven't paid extra special attention to him but when they played Michiagn this year I watched the whole game closely and within in a an hour that is the 1st thing that stuck out to me.

He obvioulsy has great leadership skills and is a senior and his comp pct was high so he must have a nice touch but as far as speed there was nothing very special about him. With Vick and Young speedwise they are on a different level than any QB I have ever seen. Too totally different type runners (Vick and Young) than each other but Smith is not even close to what they possess but I have a funny feeling people think they he is at their level and they will be sadly mistaken in those (speed) regards.

First off, Troy Smith does not have Michael Vick Speed nor Vince Young Speed. However, he is elusive and is very strong.

Quinn cannot run period......Troy Smith has won every big game he had to. His last (MAJOR) defeat came against Vince Young and Texas, however he has won his bowl games, won his rivalry games, and has not lost a game in how long?

I cannot get a dime into my offshore until Monday afternoon.....Lets set some rules as we go forward.... Like rule 1. He has to be in the draft..."If he is killed, you do not win the bet".... He has to declare himself only for the NFL draft, no Canadian league or baseball career garbage. As soon as we get our rules in, We are good to go..

Wow this was easy money, if he was serious...I missed this one.

No way he was ever going top ten, not even top two from Ohio State.

I'm starting to wonder about Teddy Ginn as well....he never really got any better.

should have grabbed his Heisman and as he walked off the stage fell and faked an injury. It's been all down hill for him since that day (how many Heisman winners would say the same thing).
