US attacks are not being executed in downtown squares. These are strategic plans in which intelligence and reconnaissance is involved. Sure, the young boot may not care who gets killed, but the big brass does. Any negligence by troops will reflect badly on top brass and their future.

Pakistan and India both possess Nuclear weapons. India just launched a satellite to the moon and has technology to send missiles with nuclear warheads to any location on Earth.
The U.S has already over-extended themselves with the Afghan and Iraq fronts. To consider crossing into Pakistan for the war on terror would be a FURTHER mistake.
