I've changed my position on Blago...he should stay.
The whole point of Blago being arrested last year was so he wouldn't appoint someone to the Senate seat. I heard the some of the news conference back then, and thats what Fitgerald said. Well apparently the US Senate thought a governer being arrested was meaningless...because they went right ahead and confirmed/seated Blago's pick(Burris). This even after Burris goes out there, verbally makes an ass out of himself, and they also vowed not to seat any pick.
So now the IL legislature is going to impeach the governer, whose Senate pick they just rubber stamped a few weeks ago, AFTER he was arrested?

How is it fair to lose your job without being convicted of any criminal wrongdoing, and justify it with a trial that does not allow you to call witnesses and defend yourself?

Right on. The Illinois senate unanimously impeaching Blago was the biggest joke of this whole scenario. How many of the 59 committed the play for pay
game which they accused Blago of. Probably more than half of them, & they are all hypocrites of the highest order by dissing Blago.
