1962 New York Mets
In 1961, manager Casey Stengel and the rest of baseball's newest team appeared in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. It would be as close as that team ever got to a parade. In what would prove to be an inauspicious start to the franchise, pitcher Roger Craig balked in the first run allowed in Mets history. New York would lose that game, along with the next eight to start the season. And the losing didn't stop until the Mets had lost 120 games, a total second only to the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, who lost 134 of 154 games.
