Bruce Smith or Thurman Thomas?

Yes it was Thurman. He married into my friends family right out of college. He moved back to Buffalo and opened up a sports training facility last year and is hoping to land a job with The Bills in some capacity. He is one of the nicest down to earth guys I have ever met in my life and it was truly a treat to talk about football with him. And yes we still tease him about losing his helmet at The Super Bowl. One of the most enjoyable evenings I have ever had.

How did he do on the table?

Stakes were probably not high enough for him I would imagine.

I call bluff no way you should of lost if you played cards with Thurman Thomas. The guy is the dumbest person in the world. I know for a fact when he bought a stereo one time he couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Had to call his agent to come over and show him the ON button.

He lost $700 and we are both horrible card players. Hey The guy is a good guy as for the sharpest knife in the drawer he can afford for people to show him how things work.

As much as it was a thrill for you to talk football with him, lock of the century says the whole time he was thinking 'I wish these stupid fucks would stop talking to me about football, these guys don't know shit'

You might be right but we were all talking about betting football and before you knew it he starting talking about all his old teammates and what they used to do on the road. Four of the guys were his brother in laws so he was cool with it.

I heard he was a prick by more than one person. Was he being nice because you were family?

I heard many stories about how much of a dick some of the Bills were back in the day but he seems like he has really changed and is a great guy. But hey I see him usually two or three times a year at his brother in laws place so who knows.

Could not believe Thurman ended up playing for their arch rival..the Dolphins at the end..He had no wheels left and was a shadow of himself.
