I need help with a PARLAY

Ok so i need a little help.

first of all ive had no luck with parlays this season an i always get 3 out of 4 games and it pisses me off to no end. So if someone could give me some advice on some game it would be a big help.

some games i like so far are:

iowa
tcu
ND
buffalo
clemson
Illinois
Wisc
ole miss

any advice helps feel free to tell me some games u like or tell me which games i should stay away from.thanks everyone i love this forum great people and BOL TO EVERYONE!!

If you are always winning 3 of 4 games, that should tell you two things:

1. Stop betting parlays.
2. Start betting your picks ATS

Why go 3-1 and win $0 When you can go 3-1 and win $$. No idea what your wager amount is but let's say it's $20. Go 3-1 and win $38. If it's $100 go 3-1 and win $190.

Not busting chains here but parlays have high payout odds for a reason.

Beat the man with your picks not greed.

Fully understand the reasoning behind the parlay, but, that's the reason they are offered. You will always hear the books brag someone hit some big parlay for a huge amount but they never tell you about the 99.9% that lost their parlay bets and they cleaned up once again.

They do that for a reason because guys think if some shmuck can do it so can I and it NEVER happens.

One game on your list I personally like is Iowa. That will be one game I'll wager together with you this week. No opinion on the rest for/against.

I like to have teams in different times in a parlay. That way if your all done but one game you can hedge. What I mean is if you have 3 teams in a parlay, 11:00, 2:30, and 6:30. If the first two cover you can if you want bet your wager amount against the other team and guarantee a oush. This is nice when risking large sums of money, $20's not so much. Also Im not sure I'd do it on a 3 teamer either, scratch that I did it last Sunday on a 3 teamer. Hope this helps a little.

Also, I like to bet my parlays individually too. I don't out a team in a parlay unless I'm really liking the play.

Also i try not to mix a bunch of parlays with overlapping teams.

my advice Is this..... Parlays are a ton of fun with a high reward low risk bet, so people play them a lot.... Problem is they are mathematically tougher to win, so when people lose they get addicted tot the idea of hitting a four teamer or a 7 teamer, etc etc. if you're going to play parlays they should be a fun bet for 10-20$ you're ok with losing after your single bets.... I always did it this way: let's say there are 6 games I'm playing and 3 of those I really like and I've got 100$ on the 3 I really like and just 50$ on the other three. After I placed all my singles I would do 2 separate 3 team parlays. The one with the three teams I really liked I would put 20$ and the other parlay only 5-10$ on.... That way of you hit your singles it's great, but if all of them cash and you throw a parlay in their you now basically hit a fourth single worth about 120$..... See what I'm saying.....


Every once once in a while for the fun of it I will do a 1$ 12 team parlay, just for shits and giggles. The payout is usually 1000$+ and I've never hit it.... Gotten 10 correct two separate times but that's it


yiu could always do moneyline parlays too, better chance of hitting, but you will have to risk more since it's an easier. Bet to win

If you have to play parlays, why not three-teamers. A four-teamer is twice as hard to hit.

I play this exact way. I will say this year though I've hit several 3 team parlays. 10 team ML parlay(2), 5 team parlay(3), 6 team parlay(1).

i love playing them, but just like you said, never more than 15-20 dollar parlays.

and that's why books do so well.....it's that mentality that i'm sure most of us have had starting out or along the way that we just want to hit that big parlay.
it's very hard to do and why books allow it. it's a gold mine for them. i concur with hotpizza's advice. stop playing parlays. it's almost as bad as playing
teasers in college football. in the long run, you will lose money that way
