I must admit I am a HUGE believer in following certain "touts"

Tout is a 4 letter word on a lot of these forums. I like to think of some of the ones I follow as experts who I use to help my bottom line. The same way an expert can help you with any investment advice.

I am not talking about the screaming 100 unit lock of the month touts but one that have better resources and make better numbers then I am capable of having.

Some are very popular and some are not. Some move the line and some do not. Some I have bought their plays from and some I havent. But they all have one thing in common they have helped me win money in the longrun. Though I dont do it much I dont see anything wrong with spening $1,000 for a guys season plays and betting $500 a play on his choices and he wins 30 units for the season, etc. Putting you ahead 14k after fees.

A guy like Dr. Bob or Right Angle Sports have been a goldmine this decade and again this year with their plays as the Dr is at 60% in CFB so far this year and 58% in both NFL and CFB and RAS is off to an awesome start again this year with CBB totals. Dont get me wrong paying for one's plays most likely isnt progitable for most betting smaller amounts but it honestly gives most people the best shot at success for a season if they dont have the time themselves to work at this.

I also like to follow a few cappers on the forums. I feel thru research I have uncovered a few hard working indivuals in each sport that help me sort out my thoughts on certain games and who have proven over the years to be winners.

99 out of 100 touts are crap but dont be so close minded to think that their arent some good ones out there.

CBB is by far the best sport the experts can exploit. It is too hard for one man to try and cap all this and beat this sport on his own, IMO. But if you put together a group of quality hard working cappers you can find a lot of the soft spots that are out there.

I have a different way of saying it.....with sports forums and the internet Ive become much more of a handicapper of "handicappers" to find people or situations to follow a selection... I use handicapping of "handicappers" as a very useful tool in this...

If they can move the line considerably. They are worth buying. If they don't, they aint.

that is a great point for sure but I do think it is beneficial to have a few in your arsenal where you they dont move the lines.

Exactly what I do also. I have a quote written down I stole from a daytrading book that says " I am the least informed of the crowd in the process. I cannot match the others doing the research. Who cares. When they make a decision this action sets a price. This price reflects all of the research that these skilled people do. They in turn gives this information away free to those who can analyze this and understand them."

Ice, how about you tell us of a few of the cappers you follow on the forums.....I could use some winners to help me out of my current cooler.

I enjoy reading newsletters such as GS & PS. Helps me in my capping to see if theres somehting I overlooked. Northcoast was always one I kept my eye on over the last 10-12 years or so, but since Steele has taken a backseat to the handicapping aspect of their operation their picks have been for shit the last 2-3 years, although I heard they were doing ok this year but I have not followed.

when i was in college we used to subscribe to Brian Mack. We always won in football and then would steadily blow our sacks in hoops.

I used to get a kick out of listening to him, but I've heard his is one of the biggest scammers.
