I don't think that the Big Ten Champ as Wisconsin would have gotten an 8 seed. That being said the seeding is horrendous with other examples as Dayton a 7 Wichita St a 10, Rhode Island an 11. No way.......I give up on the Committee. Do I think Wisconsin is an 8 seed? No..... But they played bad at the end of the season so i would not have had then higher than 6 with the L.I believe that chemistry in basketball plays a huge factor and by the end of the season some teams that start slow build chemistry by playing more together and roll. Those teams in the Big Ten obviously surpassed them.

Then why not give Wisconsin the 5 seed to play in Milwaukee vs putting Minnesota there?

This is dumb. You seed teams correctly to reward the work they've done...you don't make it harder on them just because "if they're that good they will play through it"...

Spot on. That was my point, not saying the Badgers will go far anyway as they have regressed. Just comparing the seed they got vs the rest of the Big 10 was stupid. My last comment on this.

You're drunk the only big ten team that got screwed was michigan rated 23 in nation and geta a 7 seed plus we pounded whisky twice and should have won the other game

Not it exactly accurate. They sent Arkansas to South Carolina as an 8 seed, but kept gamecocks in South Carolina as a 7 seed. Arkansas beat South Carolina head to head and USC was on a slide at end of the season.

As as someone mentioned. Just some really bad seeding. Jay bilas said it best, we have people in the committee who just aren't good enough.

actually, tournament results don't prove a thing overall, seeding is supposed to be based on results before the tournament. When a 12 beats a 5, does that mean their seeding should have been inversed? shit happens, they'll be upsets, doesn't change a thing about seeding arguments

I believe the committee was all over the place, and all you have to do is listen to them explain their seeding decisions, when their logic changes from one team to the next. Poor chairman was all over the place, it's what happens when you're full of shit

By every single standard of measurement, from polling to RPI to BPI to KenPom to power rankings to Vegas, teams like SMU, Wisky & Witch St were vastly underrated by the committee (with 1 exception, Wisky has an RPI of 32 which falls on the 8 seed line)

I think the bureaucrats are getting dumber. Basketball IQ and the eye test are a lost art. I think they should let the bookmakers seed the field
