Found 2 today.

I got a -105 and a +120 on the other side.

Then I found a different play with a -110 and a +115.

I have all my balances pending right now, no games tonight but a guaranteed $130 profit.

what if the -105 and -110 games win? how is that a guaranteed profit? you'd be down 15% vig.

If the minuses win, it will be no profit..you don't lose juice on a win.

So its either +130 or even, no guarantee, with a possible lesser result on a split on the favorites.

No. I win money on both games no matter what. I set it up that way.

If he has guaranteed himself 130, then I would say that he has roughly 8,000 dollars tied up.. And the way he guarantees the 130 is by putting a little less on the dog to assure himself the profit.

For example,

NYK +110 for 1950
BOS -105 for 2000

________

This guarantees him roughly 50 beans..

It's amazing how people have trouble grasping these concepts.
At -110 $110 to win $100
At +115 $97.68 to win $112.32
$2.32 profit either way. Multiply that X10 and then it looks better.

Hard not to like scalping, heck, that's what the books do (well, the smart ones anyway).

CaribSports has changed the Spurs to +110 now after $1500 on Spurs. Still a 5 cent scalp available though.

I have been warned I should not post this because the books will have me pegged as an arbitrage player. I will say no more.

I have NEVER looked at NBA props, but if you are getting a line like that at Carib, then maybe I should be looking at them.

Now like I said, I never look at these things and I haven't researched the history, but I will say this.. NO WAY could that line at Carib be right. It has to be an off number. NO WAY could the Spurs be +120 to score first. This has to be roughly a pick em, because when there are going to be roughly 180 points scored in an NBA game, getting +120 is a joke. It's close to a 50-50 shot on who will score first, not +120.. That is a very weak line on Caribs part, IMO..

Props are about the only place you find scalps. It is rare to find a scalp on a straight game line.

I once saw a who will score first at -200

Rockets -200
Nuggets +160

I agree that seems way to high, who will score first is roughly 50/50.

Sick Gambler,

Check them tommorow night, when there are several games. There will be many that are +120 or higher.

VIP and company are not fond of scalpers. Not wise to advertise that. Hit a few of them and expect to have your limits dropped than eventually your account closed.

Yeah that is what I was just told.

They shouldnt be like that. I am giving them action whether I am covering it elsewhere or not. Thats none of their business really.

The soft line is at Carib anyway.

Danny,
That line is the way it is because the Rockets are almost certain to win the tip. This equates to a big edge in "team to score first".

You'll see similiar lines when Shaq is playing.
