I'm a tend guy but Cali Chrome has been breaking all kinds of trends in the derby & Preakness & I don't see anything changing.


For you trends lovers:


Since 2,000, 7 of past 14 Belmont winners had ran in the derby but skipped the preakness.

2003-2013 only once (2008) Denis of Cork did a Place Horse have the 5th Generation Secretariat Pedigree .. I will break down the Show horses as well ... So far we have only 1 horse finishing in the Top 2 slots , win or place , in the last 11 years of the Belmont Stakes that have had the 5th Generation Secretariat Pedigree !!!


For my bets , regardless of posts .. I'm still trowing Cal Chrome in an exacta box with all the other horses that don't have the Secretariat 5th Gen Pedigree and if sadly enough if Cal Chrome don't win the Triple and finishes out of the money there may be a decent pay out for the exacta !!


Trends always fall apart at some time so I may play a few other boxes as well ... Just sharing what I noticed !!!

I think the trend falls apart this year. I mean, the trend tossed all the good horses from the race & you're left with garbage. At least those years that horses were going off 30-1 & winning, they were showing they lived to run in NY before the big race.

I don't see Social Inclusion doing much. In fact, the horses the trend tossed out is the triple & superfecta from what I handicapped.

I 'm on Chrome as well .. So far I have him with (General A Rod) ( had to stop last race and still finish 4th ) like Maker as a Trainer .. (Medal Count) .. real nice dark horse .. he may have not liked CD and has the Pedigree ....(ROC) simply a trend follow , I don't like em ... (Commissioner) Pletcher horse that has had this race on it's radar for awhile .... Last horse either SI or Matuszak ... Trend follow .. I don't like either.. (
