Just a regular guy from town with no history of violence or controversy.

Last night the FBI and local police showed up at his home and said he was one of 800 people on an ISIS kill list. They said the threat is credible.

He couldn't believe it, was actually smiling the whole time and said he expected someone to pop out of the dark with a camera and say "you're being punk'd". The officers said that's not happening and he should take this serious.

They said he was somehow on the list because of his former mother in law that lived with him. She's on the same list and her last known address was his house. That's all they really said to him.

What I know about her from prior conversations following an ugly divorce is that she's was a Greek National with horrible credit and a strong propensity to commit fraud. Maybe she crossed the wrong path or something.

I told him to be careful, he's still laughing about it

Crazy shit... Sad thing is that ANY of those crazy muslims living near you will take the torch and attempt to deliver the casualty.

They just put random people on there. Part of their psychological warfare.

Having said that, I'd be freaked out if my name was on there too.

They call all of them credible. It's just procedure. Thousands are on these lists now. Nothing has happened.

great, he's not worried

but the FBI admits they're troubled with determining who they should warn and who not to warn, and they decided to reach out to him

FWIW

Just think, if the FBI doesn't inform a guy and something happens, they are fucked. Better to be safe.

That dude should be given an AR-15 with tax payer money and be allowed to stand his ground against anyone appearing to look of middle eastern decent if they so much as make eye contact with him

I guess you won't be doing any cookouts over at his house this summer.

So shooting anyone that appears middle eastern? That's some quality thinking.

I think we should be able to shoot all slumlords who cash poor people's govt vouchers and then complains about people on govt asst.

That made no sense. What if they inform the "wrong" guy as far as a more likely threat and they tip him off?

I like how they are informing people they probably see as lower threats.

Computer Hack Helped Feed an Islamic State Death List - By Tim Johnson
An Albanian hacker wormed his way into the computer server of a U.S. online retailer. For two months he sorted through the server, extracting emails and personal data. But this case was more than a surreptitious digital mugging. The trespasser had ties to the Islamic State Hacking Division, a terrorist cyber unit, and before it was over he'd put together a "kill list" for the Islamic State with the identities of 1,351 U.S. government and military personnel from the 100,000 names, credit card records and Social Security numbers he'd extracted from the host server. (McClatchy DC)
