Kent can put up some big numbers against average defenses.

Kent can amass some yards -- In the last 3 games since Jarvis came back Kent has 529yrds against Temple, 478yrds against Bowling Green, 468yrds against Miami O. Jarvis missed 3 weeks, all losses for Kent and year lows in offensive production for Kent.

NIU gave up 430yds to CMU, 529yds to Ball St.

Kent is very much a running dog tonight and NIU is just 1 - 4 on the road.

Give me the resurgent home team and +3 and the over 49.5 as Kent has Scored 54, 30 and 41 points the last 3 weeks.

Just to clarify, Kent does not fit the usual definition of a running dog. You're right that their offense has been getting into a nice groove, though.

NIU has 76% of the ATS money. Everyone is taking NIU because Randizzle took NIU.

i've made a small wager on the OVER, how do we all feel about that one? i'm undecided on the side. i think that if kent can really give them a run like we're talking about--the over isn't out of the question at 49.5

i also know this sounds ridiculous... but i might even buy the hook up to 4 if ur getting 3.5 (which i'm seeing 3's mostly)

I think this game could be played into the high 50's low 60's. Kent is a different team with Jarvis in the backfield. NIU will have to score to keep up.

The bet I've decided to make is this:

Northern Illinois TT Over 26.5

I feel like this has good chance of coming in whether the Huskies win or lose. Kent is in the bottom 20 among Division I teams in scoring defense, allowing almost 32 points per game. On the other side of the ball, though, their offense has been getting into gear lately, so I like the chances of the game turning into either a large win by NIU or an offensive shootout. In either case the Huskies ought to find the end zone at least 4 times.

My only lingering concern was the weather, but the hourly forecast is calling for cold temperatures with a chance for light snow, but no bad winds. I don't expect the weather will affect scoring one way or the other.

That arguement is useless. It was senior night at Washington on Saturday. They got their ass kicked. The last game at Akron stadium last week wasn't motivation enough either. Senior night, homecoming, etc...not really great reasons to take or not take a team. Just my 2c.
