I keep hearing the name Phil Steele. Is he the # 1 sports handicapper in the country?

I would like to know because i get more cold calls from sports services than complaints of my sexual prowess from my wife. If Phil Steele is #1, then I am going with him. If anyone knows of someone better, i would like to know.

He is definitely among the best in the field. But he is quite expensive. I would guess you need to play close to a dime a game to make it worthwhile to play his games and not too many people get to that level of play without betting their own games or being just plain rich and not too worried about winning or losing.

GIS is correct. All these touts claim they are "ranked #2....world champion capper....blah blah blah," but they never seem to want to keep their picks to themselves and bet them themselves. Makes you wonder why. I know this opens up all sorts of replies/rationales but the bottom line is why pay for info you can get for free?

NO NO NO! Phil is a great writer and probably a decent handicapper, but you can find FREE great handicappers on this site. There are individuals here that gambling is their #1 source of income. VERY HARD TO OVERCOME THE FEES WHICH YOU WOULD BE PAYING SOMEBODY FOR THEIR SELECTIONS!!

did you guys see that Phil was a voter in the college lineman of the year award or something like that? He was a guest and at that award ceremony. What is college fotball doing with that?

You heard it here first.

The guy sent out KSU(KSU/CAL season opener) and told certain linesman he was sending out KSU before, certain linesman ever posted a line.

Wonder where early KSU money came from? Now you know.

I thought his college football annual was pretty interesting to read, but other than that he is just a tout like all others.

Call 1800-654-3448 which is Northcoast. Tell them you saw the ad for the 3 free issues of Powersweep Newsletter in the Casino Times magazine and they will send you 1 every week. It will give you an idea of Phil's picks. I like it for the info on the small college games and totals for the NFL. It is great to have for College games.

You guys just don't have the mindset or even understand what the people that buy advice are like. Everyone on here is fairly intelligent and opinionated in terms of sports betting, many to the point of being winning bettors, so of course you aren't going to pay for advice. The people that are customers of touts don't have time or interest in hanging out with us. So put it to you this way, which would you rather have, the square guy that wants action to go buy service for Jack Price or Phil Steele??? Because that is exactly what it will come down to. These aren't people that say I can follow some poster or Steele, they are basically guys that have no interest in spending time on this, they like to have action and nothing more.

Phil"opposite sides" Steele. He was busted for giving out both sides. Also,Danny Sheridan earned the undying enmity of the Gold Sheet by pointing out that they have been known to deal out both sides of a game. To this day, The Gold Sheet attacks Danny a couple of times a year.

there you go again Bill with that I know more than you stuff.

But in this case you don't know what you are talking about.

Phil Steele and other equally successful capper's services are purchased by a large % of sharps and near sharps. they use the info to match against their own plays, use the line moves to scalp, and keep a pulse on the industry.

Stick with what you know Bill. No doubt you will try and save face here, good luck with it.

I'm out.

So what do I know? It makes a good point, make an effort to pass on things while I am out of town and a computer isn't the easiest thing to come by and get ripped on for it. Sorry for offending you Swami, I promise to you and everyone else around here to not bother posting until I am home and then only on the things I know about, which you must think is just about nothing...
