In ways, I find hold'em more addictive than sports gambling, so be careful. I sometimes play hold'em to take my mind off a big football bet while the football game is going on.
It doesn't have to be no limit; pot limit is also very invigorating. You quickly forget that you have only risked $20, $30, or $50 to enter and view your stack of 1K in chips as your own money on the line.

g money...i won. it was 9 players. i played pretty conservatively for the first hour. once a few guys dropped out, i decided to go for it. i got on a roll and won 3 pots in a row...one of the huge (i had 3 queens and another guy had aces & queens...that was a nice pot).
then, i had the large stack so i bullied everyone else. the last hand i totally got lucky. the other guy who was left went all in on a straight after the flop. i had a pair of aces and thought he was bluffing. next two cards were diamonds and i flushed.

Great job! I am glad i don't have that addiction. It is about the only one i am missing.
