I just found out a good friend was deployed for 18 months to IRAQ!

Very sad reality as a friend of mind was sent to IRAQ out of the Maryland National Guard today... She is a mother of two young children 4-8!

I cannot imagine what that would be like...just another reminder of how lucky we all are...While they (The Guard) will not be involved in combat they will be in IRAQ which is bad enough....

God speed the return of everyone! Does anyone personally know anyone over there?

I have a buddy who is a seal, he has been "overseas" for some time...even his mother doesn't know where....

A young girl i work with was sent out as well...she is only 20 years old, just got married, her husband is in as well....He got back from Iraq, and she left for Afghanistan 3 weeks later.....she gets back in a year, and he leaves 3 months later.....they will still be newlyweds into their second year....

It is a sad reality....

and like u said, hope they make it home safe...

government treats them like crap to. MEan while SoCal cops and fireman do jack squat and make 100K with benefits. We should send some of these people to IRaq, and I agree with Moore send some congresman kids.
