Am I crazy or a genius?...

I think it has the most value on the board. They can put LA away if they are on top of thier game. They are peaking at the right time, they have great leaders in Billups, and George Carl. Denver is a tough place to play. I'm most concerned about Cleveland.@)

This is my first post...

But I just took Atlanta Falcons for $47,056 to win the 2010 Super Bowl for $399,407!

Do you guys think that this was a good idea???

I might take it back if not.

Okay attention whore the difference is my post really happened...WTF does ATL or anything have to do with what I'm talking about...go hit the bong again, wish yourself a bankroll, and drive down to Las Vegas (in your 1993 BMW 318ti like all the other pretenders in Cali) and pretend you had a life like mine.

I'm a huge Nuggets fan, but I wouldn't bet on them winning the NBA championship this year. The NBA is all about matchups and I'm still not convinced the Nuggets can beat the Lakers. Looking at the NBA playoffs last year, the Nuggets lost to the Lakers because no one could guard Kobe and Gasol. One year later, there is still no one on the Nuggets that can effectively guard Kobe and Gasol. What's worse is that the Lakers have Andrew Bynum and Josh Powell now as well. They've also added Ariza who is a good defender and can slow down Melo.

Looking at the matchups, the only advantage the Nuggets have is at the PG and SF position, both of which the Lakers can contain:

PG: Billups vs D-Fish/Shannon Brown/Farmar. The reason why the Lakers are getting torched by Aaron Brooks is because he is incredibly fast and no one can stay in front of him. That isn't Billups' game. He isn't fast, he is slow and methodical.

SG: JR Smith/Dahntay Jones vs Kobe Bryant. As good as JR has been this year, even with his flashes of KB/MJ, he still is well below the real Kobe Bryant. Dahntay cannot guard Kobe without fouling him every possession. Advantage LAL

SF: Melo vs Ariza/Walton. Walton knows how to get underneath Melo's skin. Ariza is long and can keep up with Melo, although Melo is definitely stronger. Advantage DEN

PF: K-Mart vs Odom. As good of a defender as Kenyon is, Odom gives him problems because of his height and his long arms. Odom, as shitty as he plays, almost always outplays Kenyon which usually results in a win. His presence in the series would be huge and he almost always seems to come up big for the Lakers. Advantage LAL

Bigs: Nene vs Gasol/Bynum/Powell/Mbenga. Nene has been great this year but he has shown that he cannot play extended minutes due to foul trouble/fatigue. The minute Nene goes to the bench the Nuggets are fucked. Advantage LAL

The Lakers depth and Kobe Bryant will ultimately prevail. Granted, the Lakers have been playing like shit lately. But that is mainly because they are going up a great defensive team in Houston who can throw Artest and Battier at Kobe and make him take bad shots and pass the ball to his teammates who suck. The Nuggets will probably start off by playing Kobe one-on-one, and watch him torch the shit out of them. Then, when they double him up, it frees up Gasol, Bynum, Odom, and the rest of the guys get easy baskets. I saw it happen 4 times last year in the playoffs and it made me so depressed I wanted to stop watching basketball forever. That is why I'm so pessimistic about Denver beating LA.

If the Rockets can pull an upset tomorrow, then your investment gets a huge boost. I think the Nuggets have a chance against the Cavs.

Orlando already showed us they can choke up with the game on the line.
Boston showed they have alot of heart and play big in must games so far.
Who knows what the Lakers are doing ? They flat out look bad in their losses . Do the Lakers really look like champions ? NO. But in the NBA they can make you like a fish .
Clev looks impressive winning all 8 playoff games and covering too. But they played a bad Detroit club and a mediocre Hawk team. . They have a losing record against La, Orl, bos this year. I have doubts that Ilgauskas and Varejao can play good under pressure in crunch time. No way , Clev has home record like that if there in the West.
Denver show they can score . Billups has been there, C. Anthony may be playing the best ball in the NBA now.

So far Clev and Den have looked the best.

The Oddsmakers are setting people up like you and the heavy backers of Denver, should they meet the Lakers in Conf. Finals. The Oddsmakers DO NOT make a lot of mistakes in the Playoffs. Lakers WILL BEAT Denver Nuggets in 5 or 6 games.
Public perception is exactly what you are thinking, however, knows Lakers will Beat Houston tomorrow and Denver next.
Lakers are still HEAVY FAVORITE to WIN the CHAMPIONSHIP.

Kiss Your Hard Earned Dollars Good Bye.

Imho I believe you gave the $ away. In 1 game anything can happen but I don't believe Den could/would beat either LA or Cle, let alone both.

bol to you anyway

how the hell is lal +175.

Probably because they face elimination today which no one thought would happen then if they make it to the next round they have to face a very tough and rested Nuggets and if they get past them they have to face Cleveland who at this point seems to be the consensus favorite to win it all.

Oh christ you guys. The guy is taking a shot here and it isn't that bad of a play. Denver is the hottest team in the West. They are physical, can run you out of the gym, go to the basket with the aggression to smash anything that gets in their way, they have an incrediable point guard who has been through the pressure of a finals series many times, and have a great home court advantage.

The Lakers are soft, dr jeckel and mr hyde, and have matchup problems with the Nuggets.

If the nuggets get to the finals.....it is a great spot to hedge off some action on cleveland knowing that the monster payday is still out there.

Good luck with your bet sir. If everyone is saying no.......then you maybe right.
