If this is true, im done with the HOF.

How can you not include the 2 best players in the last 25 years into the HOF?

I cant even comprehend them not getting in the HOF.

You have to let them in, even if they took steroids.

There are many players that were not found out getting a free ride.

You cant punish these 2 just because they may have took steriods.

Afterall steriods were not illegal in baseball until 2 years ago.

If anyone is at fault its baseball itself, and not BONDS and CLEMENS.

Problem also if you don't let SOSA, MAC and Raffy in, you can't let them in either.

There will be some swing guys like Pudge, scheff and others then there could be a slippery slope after a couple get in.

Chop, for a second I thought you were going to include your boy Jones in the discussion...but agree or disagree with Gammons, he is making a good point....the voters are all old and that right there goes against them getting in...

My Andruw thread is at the other street.
Andruw jones is still a HOFer.

Playing Devil's Advocate, you can make a case that Bonds and Clemens were HOF guys BEFORE they were suspected of juicing and therefore you can justify voting for them while not voting for Sosa, MM and Raffy. If you are looking for a reason to do so.

Bonds issue is compounded b/c he is such an utter ass hole and has been to everyone and anyone he crossed paths with. I am sure many voters will look for any reason to not vote for him.

And, unless Andruw Jones turns back into at least 75% of Andruw Jones, he has ZERO chance to get in. At this rate he may not even hit 400 bombs and his defense is HORRENDOUS this year.

I know a HOF voter and have corresponded with him about this topic. When I asked him what he planned to do, his response was that he wouldn't vote for anyone he even suspected of using roids. He isn't an old crotchety bastard either. Rightly or wrongly, these guys are all going to struggle getting in.

Buster Olney talked about this on OTL yesterday. He said that he'd vote for both, but that he doesn't think either of them will EVER get in, no matter what they say or do. He thinks that enough writers will not ever include them on their ballots so that neither will ever reach the 72% (or 75%, I forget) needed to be voted in.
