I would rather bunt him to 2nd, then you get 2 chances to get a base hit. I hate the fact that managers refuse to bunt with their big hitters. How many times do we see a power hitter ground into a 4-6-3 DP in a situation like this?

Take BP, lay down 2 or 3 bunts before taking hacks and that is the end of it. Most of these guys never bunt growing up and if they are power hitters once drafted, they don't do it then either. I was asked to bunt once in all the games I played, and that included fall and spring ball in college and two summer leagues many summers.
They should have had him bunt until he got one strike, and then hack.
