... it is still dominated by the bible-thumpers and the cry-babies.

"Obama hurt my feelings"

"Obama shouldn't have flown that plane over New York"

"Obama shooks hands with a commie"

"Obama is closing Guantanamo"

... and for every post I see, it makes me smile ... for I have come to realize that the days of the bible-thumpers are numbered.

When front-runners like Specter change parties, you can tell which way the wind is blowing.

The world is ending within 3 months according to several of our posters, so good luck with that!

this post is a real wake up call on why i need to spend less time in the politics forum.
i think most of these people are playing roles. hell i play a role on this forum, but not to the extent of some others. god i need a life, and that goes to everyone else on this forum who plays roles like loren, willie99, festeringzit, brucefan, rolltide, death eats a cracker, etc.

i envy you cincy.

Front runners like AS? Dude did you read what he said? I'm changing because I can't win the primary. He was losing by 21% in a poll. Im sure his internal poll told him something worse. Hell when my aunt ran for the US Congress her internal polls had her winning by 2%...she lost by 10%. He did it to save his ass, funny thing is he wil not win the DEM primary either.

I was replying to Cincy's original post in post #2 where he had stated, "I'll be back in 6 months." I guess he decided he couldn't stay away that long.

Not a chance at that happening. Obama and Rendell already threw their weight behind him. The field will be cleared and all that will remain in the primary is token opposition. He's at least -500 or so right now, probably higher.

Yes, because we all know that religious people are the scourge of the earth.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
People who are religious give more across the board to all causes than their non-religious counterparts
There is a huge “charity gap” that follows religion: On average, religious people are far more generous than secularists with their time and money. This is not just because of giving to churches—religious people are more generous than secularists towards explicitly non-religious charities as well. They are also more generous in informal ways, such as giving money to family members, and behaving honestly.

Giving supports economic growth and actually creates prosperity

Many studies show that giving and volunteering improve physical health and happiness, and lead to better citizenship. In other words, we need to give for our own good. Cultural and political influences—and the many government policies—that discourage private charitable behavior have negative effects that are far more widespread than people usually realize.

at the end of the day, I guess Cinci would have the inner-city 90%ers in his corner, the real difference makers in society. The people that want more of yours. LOL

He has no room in his world for the people that give their time, money and blood to the needy. He has no room for people that tend to stay married and raise their children together. He has no room for their self reliance. He'd take those single moms, gays, PETA freaks and welfare frauds 24/7.

Of course, I don't think he has any idea that Specter left because the money in the Republican party, the people that supported him before, refused to support him now. But what can one expect from someone who knocks religious people.

Er, Willie. Do you still maintain that the GOP holds the high moral ground?

Or is this just a shot at Cincy in return for his shot at the "Holy Rollers" on here?

I also find the use of a public fourm as a place to preach to us members of the great unwashed a bit distasteful.

I was responding to cinci's attack on bible thumpers, which I happen to find humorous.

I can't argue what party represents the high moral ground, I can only argue about what leads to a happier life and a bigger positive contribution to society.

Have I ever preached?

It doesn't matter, Punter. I don't see his posts.

This is what I see:
