Not sure that I am aware of a rule which would allow a book to cancel a wager on this game. The spread appears to have moved back to 3' so we are not talking about a major move, it was 3' at the start of the week.

Las Vegas Rules state location change is call for NO ACTION grade, in the local paper, some said they were refunding tickets, while one (Hilton, I believe) said bets stand.
This is surely going to cause some problems and hard feelings.
My advice: If you have already bet on the game, call or get an email confirmation as to whether the bet stands or is voided, that way YOU will know for sure.

I've seen this line in many posting forums last night and today "Las Vegas rules provide that all wagers placed prior to today are graded as no action." That's pretty innaccurate.
It's true at the Stardust and other Boyd Gaming properties, and at Mandalay Bay and the Imperial Palace. But an equal number of books let all bets stand as written since their house rules only address date changes and not site changes. Those books included the Park Place group (Caesars, Bally's, Paris, Las Vegas Hilton, Flamingo, et al), Coast Casinos (Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Barbary), Station Casinos, Leroy's outlets.
There is no standard "Las Vegas rules"...each book sets its own house rules.
And Green Doberman, I agree that we'll see those threads tomorrow.

Let me ask a real stupid question. I think it was two years ago late in the season I had the Raiders -10 and it ends up that the Raiders sit Gannon, Rice and Brown for the playoffs. Line drops to 7. That was a three point swing and the bet stood.

Well, I'd have to say judging from the boards on here most of the books handled this very well. Giving advance notice that they would either canceling or letting the wagers stand. Kudos for them for being proactive as no doubt the scammers and whiners were lurking.
Many of the local books offered customers an option, while some bigger books had that plain don't care action. Park Place is notorious for big juice spreads and crappy odds, so I wouldn't set them as any sort of standard.

Each LV R & S Book must have rules approved and on file with the GCB. They must also be on display, in the book, per the GCB. Any changes must be approved by the GCB. The rule SHOULD be "date and sight" , but some LV books may have changed this.....
Date is obvious. Sight means same goegraphical area i.e. won't affect the # the game is handicapped at. Changing venues a few miles away won't affect the # so the bet would be paid. Changing cities would affect the home
field/court so the bet would be void. In LV you have the GCB to go to and you'll get a fair hearing......ScottyS
