I play lots of parlays and teasers. Therefore I must not win?

Teasers are great. Especially if crossing key numbers and you expect the line to move or when getting extra shaded points.

Parlays are great when correlated.

There is no one way to win!
parlays and teasers always on the side of the BOOK / he wins 1 - you must win all.

many pro's make significant coin with parlays/ teasers. their is a poster who makes most of his living betting parlays for a syndicate. for an example of how to win w/ teasers see my thread in the nfl forum. why is it that most sb's in vegas either dont accept teasers or the odds are so bad they may as well not accept them? It is because they are afraid and know they can be beat.

I have been playing for 30+ years and this year I really got into teasers. I play 2 a week and I am 26 for 32. Not much into parlays though.

I only tease NFL sides and do well.

Occasionally a bowl game or too also.

Never college regular season or any totals.

Remember at the Bash this year? If you want to include a total in your teaser you got fewer points than if you played just sides. They aren't limiting teasers for no reason. Someone is beating them.

i kin understand limiting teasers, but 2 penalize someone even more for making a dumb wager is curious. They should be incouraging those type wagers, i felt it showed a complete misunderstanding of what is +ev on the books part.

You can only win with parlays long term if you are hitting at a 60% clip. maybe 55%.

In theory if you are a winning player, you can win more money with parlays. But if you're a losing player, you will lose money a lot faster.

In practice, with a fixed bankroll, using proper money management, you can bet more per game on straight bets than on parlays, cancelling out the increased return on investment that parlays give a winning player. So you will still make more money with straight bets.

That is until your bankroll is sufficiently large to start running into maximum wagering limits. Then you will want to maximize your ROI since you'll be limited in how much you can invest, so parlays would be the way to go.
