After being screwed over last year IMO in the playoff rankings and being put 6th in these original rankings Briles will run the score up. He's pissed off and it will show tonight. Freshman QB is a STUD. I think Baylor runs the table while also putting up some ridiculous points along the way. This team is different than last year, they are on a mission. Kstate is a good team, Bill Snyder is a GREAT coach, but IMO this Baylor team is the best in the country, and they're pissed. The Baylor fuck them all tour continues tonight with a blowout.

Baylor -17.

My thoughts exactly about Briles AR. Only thing that frightens me is hes a Frosh QB. They do make mistakes on a stage like this.

Stidham is the REAL deal. Top recruit who I think is even better than Russell. The kid can flat out play. He has played in every game this year. With two weeks off to prepare he will be a household name after tonight.

Baylor tries to score as many points as possible every week. The new playoff rankings have nothing to do with the philosophy they have had all season, which is to score as many points as possible.

Stidham has played great in blowouts, the kid has talent.

Saying he is better than Russell is ridiculous. Let's see him do what Russell has done in something other than garbage time.

Not ridic AT ALL. I would consider ALL games they have played mop up duty other than WV. Russell hasn't played any top D. Come back in this thread after Stidham shines tonight.

Baylor season ticket holder here. Baylor does not try to score as many points as possible every week. They could have gotten to 100 easily, multiple times, had they tried.

I don't think tonight Baylor skips a beat. However, I don't believe they will try to score as many points as possible to impress the committee. 49-24 sounds about right. Stidham will be just fine.

I like Stidham.

Saying all games except WV has been mop up duty is ridiculous, as is touting Stidham and dismissing Russell.

Either you haven't watched Russell play, are related to Stidham, or have no clue.

Playing a good game tonight doesn't diminish what Russell has done.

Can we wait until Stidham actually does something besides play in garbage time before we start rubbing his nuts? Geezus.

I watch plenty of Baylor football too.

They like to score. A lot. Its semantics, scoring 60+ is the point. They score a ton every week.

How is is saying all games except WV have been Mop up duty ridiculous. They have played no one, hence ALL games for have been mop up duty for Russell AND Stidham. Ive seen Baylor play twice in person and have watched every game this year. I'm not the wait and see type, if I think this is a spread to take advantage of I will post it. I RARELY share my plays.

I doubt Baylor is "pissed" at the rankings. They know if they take care of their business, they'll be in.

That being said, given the opportunity to score points, they surely win.

Bad defenses on the road giving up that many points can be a dangerous combination. Good luck!

Briles may be pissed off but you said it perfectly they have played no one. their strength of schedule is # 110 in the country on the other hand Alabama SOS is # 3 in the country hence your reason for the playoff rankings.Baylors only hope is that the teams above them in the rankings lose.

When have they had a good defense? Lol. So hard to gauge Baylor because of the teams they have played. Until they prove they can hold down a decent team in my mind their defense will be considered bad. But that's just me.

UP 30-40+ is mop up duty.

Starting the game isn't. I don't care who you play. When a team is beaten down the dynamics of the game change, among other things.

I'm not going to explain this any further. Either you get it or you don't.

It won't prove anything.

I said the guy can play.

Kansas St gives up plenty, he isn't facing Alabama. He should put up numbers.

Misconceptions in this thread:

1.) Baylor has a bad defense.

They allow 4.8 yards per play, #28 in the nation.

2.) Stidham has to somehow prove himself better than Russell.

Youre taking the "wait and see" approach which is fine. Others are trying to be ahead of the market based on the fact Stidham had a higher pedigree than Russell out of HS and has been in the system for a while already. There may be line value here based on the fact the backup is in.

3.) Handicapping the Baylor QB is the key to the game.

K St has the 68th ranked YPP rushing D at 4.5 YPP. Baylor has the #2 YPP rushing offense in the nation at 6.8 YPP. Baylor will be in short yardage all night and won't need to rely on Stidham to throw down the field and make mistakes.
