I'm a marathon runner so I spend a lot of time on the roads (and I am careful and try to be as safe as possible). Road biker's are the most arrogant and rude people on the road. They think they own the road, demand you be respectful of THEM, break all sorts of traffic laws, ride IN the road, and just act like jackasses. I have several Tri-Club friends (triathlon club) and I express to them to tell their asshole buddies that when they get hit by a 5000 pound vehicle their dumbass is going for a ride in an ambulance (if they don't die)....regardless of who was right or wrong.
I don't get it. I don't challenge cars/automobiles while I'm running...but for some reason an asshole on a $3000 bicycle thinks he owns the road and wants to push the limits on what they can get away with in regards to breaking traffic laws.
