Bad call and a lucky break for him. The question is, did the shove make him think you missed or had 10s or 9s or something?

Would he have shoved after a bet? If you bet and he raised and you shoved, would he have called?

When you really need to cash bad (about the only part of poker i AM a pro in..lol) i recommend the 360 max tournys. Trying to cut through a 1500-3000 player field just has too high a variance when your last few buyins are on the line...

Keep notes. Write his name down and play him like a fiddle the next time you play against him. You're bound to get your money back against someone who plays so poorly.

alot of my tourneys happen that way. whenever i need a favorite preflop/flop hand stand at a critical time it gets whacked. the 1 that i'll always remember is the guy calling my kk reraise all in with 3/7 os and catching a 3 on the river. a couple times i had a/k beat by a/q or k/q..something like that. or i get totally dead carded.
