Simply put, parlays pay out less than straight bets.

Maybe true for -110 NFL bets but baseball parlays pay true odds. If not you need another book/local.

BTW: As some have calculated the best way to determine odds is to take the total return and divide by the total stake or $450.50/200 (+125) vs $315/200 (-174).

they pay the math odds, 4 teams at -110 usually pays 10-1 in hoops, in bases it pays what 4, -110's should pay.

same deal if you parlay ML's in any sport, they just simply the -110's to +260, and +600 ( a tad better) on 3 teams, then most rip you off on 4 or more teams at -110.
