i feel very lucky to get chris byrd

by decision at +140......it`s now around -140....the books saw their mistake to late and the sharpies stung `em.....who is gonna lay -260 on chris byrd to win when you can get him at +140 by decision....the guy is a fantastic defensive fighter and frustrating as hell(does the name john ruiz sound familiar)....but,he`s not a puncher....and holi`s not a bleeder(unless you bite his ear off)....this will be a terribly difficult fight for holifield at 40 years old...holi will have to chase and work hard for 3 minutes a round.....and at 40,with a guy that`s hard to catch or hit,he`s in trouble....holi got lulled into a terrible performance vs ruiz and byrd is 5 times more skilled and frustrating than ruiz...holi won`t have a rahmann standing in front of him to punch and butt....and holi`s not big enough to overwhelm byrd ala klitschko...if the klitschko`s had trouble stopping byrd, holi`s not going to......that`s my early take...more later....

Why are the odds on this fight not -400 or more? Holy has no chance here

Hey spincter, I tend to agree with your assessment
of a Byrd decision here. I took the Byrd-man of
LasVegas @-180 bout 3 weeks ago. I thought it
should have been like 150/130 or so but we know how they do boxing lines. I grabbed teddy reid
-180 also about the same time; he is bet up to
-350 now. I like a small play on JC candelo as
last one was super close and this one should be also. Some good ones coming with Mosley, Forrest,
and Marquez-Medina. If you have a chance, go by
Olympic and check the lines posted and see if there is an opportunity. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

j c candelo +145....-revenge...lost to hernandez last time after having him on the canvas and cutting him over both eyes...tried for the k.o. the whole fight and got outhustled...

frankie archuletta-105....-fighting marco antonio barrera`s cousin alejandro.....all i know about barrera is that he fought almost all of his fights in his hometown,vs poor competition, and is moving up in weight....archuletta is the naturally bigger guy, fighting in his hometown and has seen better opposition....

saturday-
syd vanderpool +185....-fighting jaffa ballogou of togo.....vanderpool had a strange loss early in his career to a very bad fighter(a cut,or a butt or something).....since then his only loss was to bernard hopkins by decision(a championship fight)....vanderpool has an extensive canadian amateur career and is a lefty....ballogou is 34 years old,and has 4 losses(at least 2 were to lefties-guillermo jones and frankie liles).....he was also kayoed early in his career by ike quartey(no disgrace)....ballogou is the heavier puncher, but, vanderpool is well put together and is the superior boxer....both are managed by don king and that alone should send me running in the other direction....

all 3 are dogs....all 3 are because there`s no college football tomorrow /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif,all 3 are small plays for something to do....i lost my last wager with a terrible play on 5 to 1 "reluctant"jameel mccline,so proceed with caution....we had a streak going....this may be the beginning of a bad run....might be better to sit back and watch these"boredom" plays........like byrd by decision tomorrow as the main play...2 out of 3 dogs would be nice....these are by no means real confident plays....g.l. tomorrow .... /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Wow, that did not go how I thought it would. Holy fought the same way Tua fought Lewis and Mccline fought Klitschko, just looking for that one big punch and not setting anything up with the jab. That NEVER works. I would think Holy would know better. And I thought his corner sucked, they said 6 words all night.
