Well, couple of things...McCabe could indeed have been a bargaining pawn. The REAL target is Brennan.

Reports are that Brennan engineered the whole thing, and had to con the FBI into investigating. Anyways, Im disappointed as well, but will see.

in the long run , if we have some of these guys turn on the big game , that's fine with me...I would rather get Clapper , Brennan , and Comey , or even Obama for that matter

Some seem to think this is quid pro quo to save Stone. Why would Barr do such a thing when
he holds all the cards? Just make his sentencing recommendation and see what happens.

Worst scenario is Berman Jackson ignores Barr and throws the book at Stone in which case Trump
just pardons him. Same with Flynn. I don't know why Barr is making this so difficult to deal with.

He's not making it difficult at all.

The Justice Department said the prosecutors were recommending too tough a sentence. Then Trump tweets essentially the same thing, making it appear Barr is just a pawn for the POTUS which is something he can't (or shouldn't) be in fact or appearance

He has to be his own man, in fact and appearance. Lest you want to resemble a Lynch or a Holder or a Reno, and no self respecting AG wants to be held in such low esteem.

Is it possible that he lets the little fish swim free while the net tightens on a few big fish?

I've mentioned this before, but I really think that they wait 'till after the election to put the hammer down.

Strategically Trump and the seats up for grabs are in a very strong position right now. About as strong as any administration could hope for. I can't imagine them doing anything right now (like indicting a Hillary Clinton for instance) that could upset the table that the Repubs have set for the November election.

Where is the SSCI in all of this? That was formed in the 70's after the Church commission for episodes like this.

Trump should just put his lackey brother in charge like JFK, if he has one.

My choices would be:

Rudy Giuliani
Jeanine Pirro
Joseph DiGenova
Tom Fitton
Mark Levin

Pick one.

So sick of the swamp creatures persecuting conservatives while liberals walk free. It happened under Obama and it still hasn't stopped under Trump.

No equal justice under the law, no America.

Of course it's possible.

Dems better back off Barr.

Anyone on that list would build a new jail to house the offenders.

By the way, I'd prefer DiGenova. He is smart and committed. His thoughts flow like aged wine out of a decanter.

Rudy is getting old. He has trouble formulating his thoughts, sometimes. Love the Judge, but she also can forget a word here and there at times.

Levin is great, but I'm not sure how he'd do as a prosecutor.

Fitton has a great research organization. Again, not sure how well he'd do as a prosecutor.

I would trade all of the guilty for Obama ?

Ha, pretty much! All roads lead to the brown clown! Obama, Brennan, Clapper, Comey...

Brennan is one arrogant bastard I would love to see behind bars.

These guys act so smug and untouchable...and so far, they are right.
