I don't come on here very much and adamantly stress everyone to take one side or the other. But regarding tonights game I feel I should.

Did I call Ohio St's "almost upset" of Texas...yep.

Here is my take on tonight. TAKE FLORIDA!!!!!

*Heisman Trophy winning QB's are 2-5 in National Title games. This leans towards taking Florida. (I know Tebow won it, but it was last season).

*Oklahoma's #2 game-breaker on offense is out. This hasn't got the publicity that it should

*After watching the offenses of Texas Tech (45ppg), Okie St and Texas (44ppg) get stymied during their bowl games, this leans heavily towards the same thing happening to Oklahoma.

*Florida has more speed. I don't think that is debatable. Oklahoma is fast. Florida is faster.

*Oklahoma's defense gives up 80ypg MORE then Florida. They won't give up 60 points tonight. But they will not be able to contain Florida in key situations.

*Texas, Texas Tech and Okie St got absolutley run all over in their bowl game. Ohio St, Ole Miss and Oregon got huge chunks of yardage on the ground. Florida will do the same to Oklahoma.

*Oklahoma has a habit of not showing up in big BCS games in recent memory.

'08 48-28 L to WVU
'07 43-42 L to Boise
'05 55-19 L to USC
'04 21-14 L to LSU

*That is an average margin of 167 (41.7ppg) to 103 (25.7ppg) that stat cannot be overlooked. That is dominance. :nono5:

* FLA are 15-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

FLA are 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games on grass.
FLA are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
Florida -5 is the huge play
UNDER 70 is the even bigger play

Final Score prediction:

Florida 38
Oklahoma 21

sure, and the team fla. had to come back against in the 4th qtr (alabama) got dominated by utah. everyone down on texas, but they beat a good team. tx tech did look like crap against the team that beat fla, but remember that ou beat tech by something like 40 pts when tech still had something to play for. murray beaing out for ou is not huge (he is a valuable player). either they will run the ball well or they won't. trust me, if brown and madu can't get it going then murray wouldn't have either. don't be surprised to see iglesias or broyles break a big one out of a surprise running play. matt clapp will make a play.

tebow will get banged up. ou will hit him every chance they get. a personal foul or two against the ou D is practically guaranteed. the ou defense will come out in a big way tonight. look for tebow to make some bad throws in the 2nd half when he gets into the no man's land of running or throwing the ball away, you will see him turn gun shy. low scoring 1st half, ou will open it up in 2nd half -- 48 -14.

Bama had their whole left side of their o-line out including arguably the best o-lineman in the country. If those guys play, it's a totally different game.

As for Tebow getting banged up... LSU, UGA, FSU, SOuth Carolina, Tenn, Bama, Ole Miss, Kentucky all have better defenses than OU and bigger, faster players as well... just don't see it.

Bama was a no show. If you are using that game you are in trouble. The Bama that played in the SECCG was for real and so is Florida.

The Big12 has shown in their games that they can't play D and when they face it they have trouble.

LOL, sure when Bama gets beat by Utah, its a no show, but when Texas wins close, but still wins, it's because "they haven't faced a good D all season".

Texas wanted to be there. They all said it. "We will show we are #1". Isn't that what they said?

I think it's pretty obvious Bama wasn't there. No disrespect to Utah - they played their asses off.

tomorrow you will tell us that if florida had shown up they would have won. if you use this line of think often you're going to be in trouble. i think it's obvious using this logic that tx tech didn't show up at the cotton.

flsunman, how many did Bama have out on defense? Utah scored at will. if the game had been closer utah would ahve dropped 50 on Bama. Several SEC offences sucked this year so defensive numbers in that conference are skewed. Some might say it was due to the tough SEC defenses, but these teams couldn't score on the fluff teams they played. tn(17ppg) however they did put up 7 on an extremely fiesty Wyoming defense. ark (22ppg),sc(21ppg)ky(21ppg)vandy(19ppg) mst(15ppg)Aub(17ppg). brutal

These arguments have turned into Republican v. Democrat type arguments. Each side can find things to make their side look good but what it comes to down to is what you believe yourself.

that is correct, and they showed why they shouldn't have been there!!
I'm giving Utah whatever respect that most folks won't, not saying you aren't. Bama knew they had a game just like Utah, whether they prepared for it or not is on them. I'm a huge SEC fan, more important Florida fan, and I hate to say but when a team doesn't prepare that's what happens. Either how I'm taking the Gators tonight so good luck to everyone tonight and may the best team win.

I'll take the team who has scored 60+ points in last five games getting 7. Who cares if they were against crappy teams. So they get 41 tonight? They cover

TNBanker, why is it that the high powered offenses of the Big 12 haven't scored nowhere near there avgs in the bowl games?

I agree 100% with your post. All the information is out there. Everyone has their point of view. Now it is in the stages of arguing for the sake of arguing. I don't see why the Sooner backers are getting so upset. They should be loving this... underdogs where the spread keeps moving in their favor.
