I work part-time doing traffic on the radio. The company I work does traffic for more than 20 stations in the DFW area and we have guys that go up in choppers and give the traffic.

This one guy has been working here 2 years and this past Monday, HR called and said he can't go up in the air, we have no paperwork on the guy and we don't have signed release for him. Come to find out, the guy hasn't been paid in 2 years.:ohno: WTF, how can you work somewhere for 2 years and not get paid and not ask any questions? My boss was fired as a result of allowing someone who was unauthorized to fly for 2 years without having the proper information, but I still don't understand how this guy has shown up everyday at 5:30AM and 4:00PM to go up in the air and has not collected a paycheck. Either he is wealthy beyond belief or the dumbest guy alive. Based on my interaction with him, I am guessing it is the first choice, but I still can't get over the fact he hasn't been paid in 2 years and he shows up everyday.

I manage quality inspectors at an engineering company. One of my new(er) hires came into my office a couple weeks ago and says he hasn't gotten paid. I said "this pay period?" and he says "no, I haven't gotten paid once yet."

He has been working for me for 3 months. It was a definite WTF?!

And the kid is like 22 years old. There is no way he didn't need the money. I couldn't have gone 3 months straight out of college with no pay.

Was he the pilot ? That seems impossible.

If he's a reporter, and did a good job, give him a 500% raise.

Bob Slydell: Milton Waddams.
Dom Portwood: Who's he?
Bob Porter: You know, squirrely looking guy, mumbles a lot.
Dom Portwood: Oh, yeah.
Bob Slydell: Yeah, we can't actually find a record of him being a current employee here.
Bob Porter: I looked into it more deeply and I found that apparently what happened is that he was laid off five years ago and no one ever told him about it; but through some kind of glitch in the payroll department, he still gets a paycheck.
Bob Slydell: So we just went ahead and fixed the glitch.
Bill Lumbergh: Great.
Dom Portwood: So, uh, Milton has been let go?
Bob Slydell: Well, just a second there, professor. We, uh, we fixed the *glitch*. So he won't be receiving a paycheck anymore, so it'll just work itself out naturally.
Bob Porter: We always like to avoid confrontation, whenever possible. Problem is solved from your end.
