Your post is just another example of how Yanks think their the centre of the Universe. Outside of the Joker Bookmakers offshore, most of the others will be targeting better percentage Sports enjoyed by the rest of the World, of course being you being a sharp will know this.

Gambling is gambling. There is always a risk when gambling in general, sending money offshore these days adds an extra level of gamble to the situation. Personally, I am playing with whatever money i left behind after finding out about neteller and pinny. If needed i would have no problem sending money offshore, but obviously not as much as i would before the crackdown.

I haven't deposited in months. Have slowly but surely withdrew sizeable amount of bankroll. Still playing with what i have left. With that being said, shrapnel still got thru and hit me with two neteller pendings and BOS fiasco. I'm not coming back until someone makes this right somehow. if not I have no problem sitting out

I think the difference is not necesarily large vs small players.

It is playing for fun vs business.

If you are betting for fun, western union fees, having a book dissapear, etc do not matter. You can still bet no problem.

If you are betting for biz, keeping enough money offshore right now is crazy right now in my opinion. I hope this changes!

Messenger kept crashing my very old PC and even though my bankroll is vast, I dont factor in new technology so the MSN had to go. I'm working on updating everything once I get hold of the Mother-in-Laws Credit Card while I'm in Aussie Land so as soon as its all kosher I will give you a call. :103631605

Sam,

dante made a good point, sean you are underestimating the power of addiction, plain and simple. Having action, even if getting your funds is questionable, is enough to satisfy this craving.

However, on the other hand I think it's annoying the condescending tone you use in threads, as though you KNOW that our money isn't secure and insinuating anyone sending money anywhere offshore are stupid.

Your opinions are just that, your opinions.

It's probably 95% gamblers, 5% not. The not are the ones withdrawing their money, or moving to safer continents.

Condiscending because I think it is stupid to send money off to places that may or may not have the ability to pay even if they want to? If that's condiscending, so be it.

Sending money offshore right now is stupid. It is just like driving under the influence. Stupid. People will still do it and I will consider it stupid.

sending money doesn't seem like such a good idea in light of the NT fiasco. if u need the action, it would seem wise to keep the balances minimal and draw down when you score. consider what happened when that Oct 2006 ACT passed... many poker rooms banned US players, several processors banned deposits from US players (firepay for ex.), and shortly thereafter, other books, processors and poker rooms have followed suit. there appears to be a trend ! if u did't get spanked in the NT fiasco, then keeping money offshore would appear to be asking for it right now. most everyone has a tribal casino they can drive down too and feed those inner demons if they really need some action. that's what i'll be doing. what fun is it to hit a big bet and potentially not get paid. F that noise.

If you are dealing with $100,000 fly your ass up to Canada and open a bank account. You can get to Toronto for under $500 from anywhere in the US.

How would a Canadian bank account help? and I must thank you - I took your advice and deposited my balance in neteller to Olympic when you said to get out of neteller.

A Canadian bank account would help in that any book can send a bank wire to it without fear that it would possibly be blocked. It would also allow you to open a new neteller account (You'll need phone, address, and Canadian IP) if you so choose.

Some US banks are DEFINITELY blocking bank wires from the Caribbean, asking the sender what they are for, and when not content with the answer, returning them to the sender.
