If true, then it's not fair to criticize a book for booting after 10,000. They are just playing to their assets.

SIA offers what are very obviously bloated favorite lines that the squarest of the squares apparently still play (how else could they stay in business?).

I've always been scared away from SIA due to the endless complaints about their CS, but I can't ignore free money anymore.

Anyone with a few different outs & the slighest clue on gambling should be able to hit them for their limit & move on.

Not many guaranteed offers like that out there, now are there?

This 'industry' is a hodge-podge of mostly unregulated, untaxed and un-monitored books, a large part of which exist on American dollars - as long as you're a loser, apparently. And when you do win, then you're supposed to APOLOGIZE when you get kicked in the ass out the door, groveling that you're sorry, you never meant to win???

lol, I know you didn't mean it that way, General - but personally, I'm tired of the constant defense of books doing this. THEY were the ones that entered the arena which included people with SKILLS, not just luck - THEY are the ones that hang the flashing 'WIN BABY WIN' banners on their sites with the one hand and with the other hand cut you off. THEY are the ones playing the bullshit game (excepting the top books and even then there's a limit) - take all comers but gawd-dammit get rid of the winners.

Do they give a shit? No. So neither do I about them.

Now I suppose the next thing will see is a poll asking how much is it 'proper' to win from a book before you 'deserve' to be booted in order to 'protect' the poor book's bottom line.

TTINCO: anyone not ripping SIA a new one is missing out. My boot was last year, but while tales of slow pay still arise from them, they are still paying, so I'd have to say the risk-reward in this book demands you take a shot.

Joey, I do disagree on them all, But I'm looking for opinions here. My feelings are that there is no backing that can cover certain amounts. All sportsbooks have a price tag I believe, and understand, I am talking extreme amounts. Jazz made a good point about how much is to much. There is a figure for all books IMO.

Joey, I think there are prop bets that at least a couple of these books would/have cut players off or recuded limits for playing the same amount as other customers are allowed to. (i.e. we are going to keep offering them, but we want you to play them less).

As for just sides on major sports, I think your list is solid as far as my knowledge goes.

I do think General has a point. Is about a price. Some are higher than others.

Im not buying it, you can always find action, and if you are soo good that you cannot, you need to be on the other side of the table taking suicide sides.

Good books know how to cap the players and not the games. If limits are appropriate to bring in public action, the sharp bookmaker makes a killing off his sharp info... and gives away only enough to get that valuable information.

Im not buying the fact that all books kick out sharps. Id go as far as saying, some sharp shops, NEVER kick out anyone... given that they can limit their exposure to bring in public action for the cover.

After paying taxes, you couldn't beat me for 15 and collect.

The biggest guys have so much juice going on cross action that if someone beat them for 15 their other wise guys would lose 20.

What is done is limiting the sizes of wagers accepted by an individual depending on what side he may be on to say 20 - 40.

I've seen guys bet 100 on superbowl futures, win and get paid.

What did that same book do the next year - they wrote 2 bets for 150 each that lost.

What will they do this year - the same as the year before.

IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH ACTION AND BANKROLL, YOU REALLY DON'T CARE WHO WIN AND LOSES, AS LONG AS THEY ALL PAY.

But, there is only a handful of guys that can stand the pain and have the action and pockets to pay.

Jazz, SIA is SIA.....there aren't many like them.

Funky #'s and they let you beat them for 10K on them & tell you to walk. I'd have to say that it's a fairly generous business model considering that it has to be pretty obvious pretty quickly what a player is doing.

IF they can stay afloat & do this, all the best to them. Consider their crazy #'s and your free 10-15 dimes a once in a lifetime gift.
