I know I am going to sound like johnny-come-lately with this, but I must confess I have never watched an entire Cavs game before today.

I always saw his numbers and heard the hype, but after watching the guy, I am blown away by how unselfish and mature he is. He is Jordan and Magic rolled into one, I have no other analogy. His game is so complete, he is twice the passer and rebounder Jordan ever was.

And even after the game, he stuck me as a consumate professional and family man with his words and attitude. Being from the West, I get heavy does of Kobe, so I had stereotyped Labron as another young chest-thumping, shoot first, numbers oriented selfish player. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If he stays healthy, when all is said and done, he will have surpassed Jordan as the universally recognized best player in the history of the game, IMO. He is THAT GOOD, again, IMO.

He needs someone to take some of the load off him like Pippen did for Jordan. I think that's when we will see possibly something special.

Living near Cleveland (but not being a Cavs fan), I get to see a lot of James in an unbiased basis and he is the real deal. He definitely needs a little more help but this Cavs team is going to get better and better as is James. He is still only 21 years old and is a man amongst boys. He may not pass Jordan on the prestige list but he will be in the same sentance I do believe. Seems to have his head in the right place even with so much success at such a young age and so many expectations to boot.

It's scary to think if they get someone like a Scottie Pippen to play with Lebron how good this guy could be.

I'm totally impressed with LeBron -- most sports news is negative, this guy is helping the cause of the NBA. Imagine coming out of high school and handling the spotlight like he has? Amazing! I thought Shaq did a good job of it years ago but this guy is superb in that department and its only a short matter of time before fans recognize him as being hte best player ever. Personally, can't wait. Tired of all the glory heaped on Jordan. He never tried to deflect some of that praise back onto his teammates, he always let it come back to being all about him so fork him. His teammates were vastly underrated. Everyone knows about Pippen but Rodman, I hate to say it was an incredible player. Best rebounder, maybe best defender, smart as hell. Then you had guys like Grant and Harper who never got their due, really was a solid team all the way around.

if they can somehow sign kevin garnett , you would see an awesome inside / out combo...

That would be awesome. Or even just a rebounder/enforcer type, like Rodman or Rasheed Wallace would nicely compliment. Drew Gooden and Donyell Marshall are not the answer :pucking:
