Why do Right-Wing ideologues try to make Liberals look like bad people? Because I believe in:

Freedom...

...of conscience...of religion...of speech.

I guess maybe I am wrong because I believe in Civil Rights, public education, help for the needy, employees rights and environmental protection.

What I am most hated for is that I am Progressive. I believe in social and economic progresss that benefits ALL of humanity. I am sorry for wanting a better world because of my optimistic outlook on life.

Lt. Dan,

Being in the Corps as a democrat I used to get harassed all the time, especially cause I was from Massachusetts. Typically, most of my buddies would end our political discussions with "Go back to Mass. and vote for Barney Frank".

Hell, I'd be outnumbered about 10 to 1 but I used to have a lot of fun back in those days. I'm sure you've probably encountered the same, but in the end we were still all green.

yeah, you're right us conservatives -- we are:

all for a dictatorial country (that's why we got rid of hussein, are the only ones fighting for the continued sanctions on cuba, and the only ones fighting against china's entrance into the wto) to the hell with your rights

all for the stupidity of our future -- screw the publicly educated children, (that's why we are requiring a little accountability for spending more per student than we EVER have, and the kids are scoring the worst they ever have) but then again, we could really give a shit!

happy to see homeless and impoverished families (that's why we are fighting hard to get them out of their perpetuity -- trying to give them a sense of self-worth -- but are undermined by your relentless pursuit of keeping them in the state they are in -- thus, justifying your existence) it makes us feel good to see the needy!!

happy to see sweatshops, damn those who want to raise the minumum wage (let's just make it $20/hr for realistically a family of four CANNOT live on $10/hr) damn those who want eight/hr when we can get little children to work for $8/day!!!

happy to see global warming, what the hell i live in minnesota a couple degree rise would be nice!!!

also saying to hell with humanity!!! with the coming end of the world (which we are facilitating) who cares -- the world's coming to a end anyhow!!!

LT, you really need to educate yourself, instead of listening to sound bites on tv.

from you i'll take that as a compliment -- by the way now that you bring it up, please, do yourself a favor and either learn how to SPELL and/or use a dictionary -- half of your posts are riddled with misspelled words -- it's embarrassing. i felt sorry for you, figuring you were just an uneducated hillbilly, but once you started throwing stones my commiseration for your stupidity went out the door. you calling somone else moronic is contemptible

Hansen,

C'mon man, you're out there trying to deny your roots. You're just all pissed off at the world cause your Mom and dad had your picture taken as a little kid at Walter Mondale and Hubert Humphrey rallys and you're still bitter.

Just messin' with ya,

Mud

P.S. I'm glad Vikes resigned Kleinsasser - great blocking tight end and they're still $30 million under salary cap. Hope they get some defensive help.

What freedom of speech do liberals believe in?

Everytime a conservative makes a bad comment they all demand he is fired.

now with all that extra cap room we need to grab a vincent, taylor, springs, or somethin'. but w/ mccombs trying to sell the team word is he might be sitting -- making the team more attractive to a potential buyer.

I find it interesting that Republicans seem more opposed to Libertarians than they do Liberals and they don't even know it. The more time I spend on this board, the more convinced I am that many American conservatives don't even seem to get how badly the Republican party has strayed from conservative ideology, especially where gov't spending is involved. The dollars spent on your military don't seem to bother them, but give a single black mother a welfare cheque and her lazy ass will be hung out to dry! We then get to listen to statements like 'working to get the poor class out of their perpetuity' as though the Republican party has no hidden agenda in keeping the poor down. Where do you think they're going to get a whole new crop of troops from? You think George Bush's kids and their Polo-shirt friends are going to volunteer??

Watching the Republican party self-destruct over the past three years has done nothing but reinforce my liberalism. Conservative politics, in its true form, can be a righteous ideology (I am quite fond of the Libertarians, actually) but this bastardised link between dollars and votes leaves even Republican supporters on the sidelines, pretending to be involved in this mockery Bush makes of democracy.

Hansen Bros.,

Touche'! Exactly my point. Why are you so angry and mean spirited? Lt. Dan likes all people, Conservatives and Republicans alike. I may not agree with their politics but I have bleed for their right to express them.

Lt. Dan
