When's the last time a team won the Super Bowl with a shitty offense? You need a decent offense to compliment a good/great defense. You can't leave offense out of the equation.
Give me a good goalie, a great pitcher, a good defense in NBA......and a lock down defense in the NFL and they will beat the hell out of a high scoring NHL team, a explosive offense in MLB, a high flying offense in the NBA and for sure a NFL team that tries to out score their opponent. Defense wins championships in all sports not just the NFL!!!

I understand your point but what I'm trying to say is that you need a decent/viable offense to compliment your defense. Case in point - Russell Wilson isn't a prolific passer but he can throw and run for yardage when needed. If Russell goes down and you replace him with second string QB, I don't think Seattle would be able to win the game. Although they have a dominant defense, they would still need some help from the offense. Offense does matter.
