Detroit Tigers
This zach jackson guy hasnt shown me enough to where I think he can out play armando. He gave up 8 hits in 5 innings which took 97pitches and 5 runs and 7 hits in his only 2 games vs o's and royals both being home games. Now he has to hit the road and play a team who is about to start a 10 game homestand. I think the tigers best pitcher and possible rookie of the year will defend home field and start this homestand off right. Tigers havent been great but the 2 things theyve done better than anything else is play good at home and vs left handed hitters. Indians run comes to an end.
Colorado Rockies
Francis is the ace of this staff. Since coming off the dl he has looked good. He is showing good control only allowing a total of 2 walks in his last 3 games. He pitched a 1 ER game at LA in his previous start collecting his 2nd straight victory. Both teams are hot but Giants pitcher matt cain could be taxed. Hes coming off a 125 pitch count game and pitched 126 just 2 games before. This maybe the reason why his bbs are up. he avgs 2.6 for the season but 3.5 in his last 4. Cain has a 1.88 era over last 8 games but just 3 wins. Ill catch him getting lazy today with the +109 dogs. Counting on these giants and a pitcher who has put in a lot of work to do it again vs the just as good/hot rockies and a pitcher who is showing much better control is not what I would want. Colorado has been playing well on the road lately also winning 5 of 6 and 11 of 17.
