Depends on your fetishes. If looking at hot chicks is your bag, then the Hard rock and palms will suit you well. Mandalay ain't bad either. Best sportsbook may be palms, bellagio, and a few others. Best restaurants if you want to pay are at the Bellagio, although most casinos have some very good restaurants. Caesar's, Hard Rock, Mandalay, and several others have great pools. If you don't want to spend a lot on rooms, you can usually find good deals in the summer if you book far in advance. GL

Stay away from the titty bars if you want to leave town with coin in your pocket.

It is hot there in the summer but you can breathe in it. I live in Nj and when its 90 and humid it is like someone standing on your chest while you try to breathe. In las Vegas when its 110 it is weird it's like the heat surrounds you but you can breathe.

I loved the Mandalay when I stayed there . Venetian is all suites and very nice.
Wolfgang Pucks Trattoria del Lupo at the Mandalay is outstanding!!!

When exactly are you coming? I know someone that lives outside the desert couldn't tell the difference but 103-106 is more like it, not 110. There are probably somewhere between 5 and 10 days a year when it gets to 110 or more and almost all of them will fall in July or first week of August.

Friends from Cali think it is sick that I can say until it gets to about 113 or so the heat isn't a problem for me, but after that it finally starts to bug me

Wildbill hot is hot in Las Vegas it stays hot at night in the summer give me Lake Tahoe over Las Vegas any day of the week. The best times to visit Las Vegas is anytime other than the summer.

Vegas is definitely not overrated. Dante is right, it is the most fun place on earth. I don't even vacation anywhere else. There is just so much to do. Make sure that you go all over the Strip. Play at a casino for just a little while, and then move on to the next one. Plenty of HOT women everywhere, drinks are free, and the Lance Burton magic show is a must-see. Book your tickets well in advance and get in the first few rows. Plenty of other great shows there as well. It never gets old going back to Vegas. It is a vacation paradise. The best advice I can give is to enjoy the free drinks, but don't get drunk while playing.

I have heard from many people to not visit Vegas during the summer. But I love the heat! Would it be too hot for even someone who likes warm weather?

It is above an beyond hot if you can take sitting in a steam room for 2 hours then it might be ok for you to visit in the summer.

I lived in Vegas for nearly a year from July 1989 until May 1990. That year all records for heat were broken as in July there were 17 days above 116 degrees. That year was not representative of a usual year. If you are going between mid June to mid September, expect the daytime temperature to reach 100 to 108 degrees at about 4 to 5 p.m. Some days will reach the teens. That being said, it is a dry heat and feels more like the 90's. Much easier to move around in then the east with the humidity. If you like the heat, Vegas will be no problem for you. Plus, you are bound to be inside where casinos and everything else is air conditioned. It's just when you go outside that you feel the heat. Vegas heat is not nearly as hot as the California desert, i.e. Palm Springs area or Arizona, i.e. Phoenix. Enjoy!

Stay away from people offering you drugs especially if it is in the down town area and especially if they tell you you should come back to their house and they have a German Shepard.
