since I was 7 years old in 1967.

BEATING THE YANKESS IN THIS SERIES MEANS ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO ME WITHOUT WINNING THE WORLD SERIES.

ANY RED SOX FAN THAT SAYS BEATING THE YANKEES IN THIS SERIES IS ALL THEY WANT IS NOT A REAL RED SOX FAN.

your right....

I am a red sox fan for life, I also would rather beat any time to win a ring... I also would rather have lost game 5 and 6 than another game 7...... I hate Arod the guy is a jerk gets all the money from texas than they suck and he cries like a B**ch to get out.... the he tries his hardest to cheat tonight the gets caught... I am worried about Lowe pitching.... better than Pedro who is washed up.... :finger: arod

I'm worried

I hope the Rx. has enough bandwith to handle Kidslick's post if the Yankees win tomorrow night.

Just got home from partying over Red Sox victory. I don't know if my body can handle another one, but much like Schilling I will try to muster the strength to carry on.

Reverse the curse!

Fish, you have me slightly beaten. I became a Sox fan in 1968 when I got a baseball glove with Carl Yastzremski's (yes, I spelled it correctly without cheating) signature. Can't pretend it wouldn't be somewhat sweet to defeat the Evil Empire, but the idea that that is what it's all about is ridiculous. Prepared for more pain, but hoping for the best.:awesom:

Very neat!

The Impossible Dream season and Yaz winning the Triple Crown in 1967 is how it all started for me.

Wore #8 all through my baseball career.

I'm going to puke!!!!

I have no idea why this Yankees team is f*$kin! with the Sox. They are a worse team on paper and good pitching ALWAYS trumps good hitting. This series should have never gotten to this point. Now they are facing Wakes who seems to have their number with the exception of one at bat last year and mop up duty a few days ago. (If Lowe starts which I guess might happen who the hell knows.)

This Yankee team just isn't tough. Last night Ortiz should have been plunked as retribution for Matsui getting buzzed and they should have laid down a few bunts to test Schilling.

I'm ready for war tonight. Ortiz has to get hit and Brownie is the guy to do it. Let's get it on! Someone in the dugout has to show the others what this series means to the team and the series.

MR. FISHEAD, I'VE BEEN A YANKEE FAN SINCE I WAS A LITTLE KID AND AS A YANKEE FAN U LEARN TO HATE THE RED SOX. I HATED CLEMENS AND BOGGS EVEN WHEN THEY PLAYED FOR THE YANKEES....BUT I HAVE TO TELL U, I HAVE NEW FOUND RESPECT FOR THIS RED SOX TEAM. THEY COULD OF FOLDED UP SHOP AND PACKED IT IN DOWN 3-0 BUT THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SCRAPPERS , FIGHTING TO THE END AND EVERYBODY HAS TO LOVE THAT.

THAT BEING SAID, I HOPE THEY LOSE TONIGHT BUT IF THEY WIN AND TOUGH FOR ME TO SAY, I WILL BE ROOTING FOR THEM IN THE WORLD SERIES.

I think that deep down, red sox fans don't WANT to win the World Series.

Because when they win...they won't be special anymore. They won't have the mystique surrounding them that they've had for years now. The curse will be gone and there will be nothing left to talk about.

Once Boston wins...nobody will care about them.

Couldn't agree with you more...New England area has one of thee best football teams in history and all they talk about is the Red Sox.

But beating the hated Yankees and marking them with the biggest choke in baseball history in Yankee stadium would mean the curse is dead.

The world series is an after thought.
