I am a believer that in this day of parity, Utah has soundly beaten every team they have played this year. I watch every game I possibly can every week and I haven't seen a better footbal team play. Not the Trojans, Sooners,Badgers, or Tigers. The Utes are the best team. If they win out, they not only deserve a BCS Bid but I believe a shot at Trojans , Badgers, or Tigers. I will also note that Texas if they could ever beat OU, would be the best team in the country even over Utes. They just can't seem to be able to beat Stoops. The finger should be directly pointed at Mack Brown. Urban Meyer if he coached Texas would beat OU. No doubt about it. Anyway just wanted to state the obvious about Utes as I will adopt them as the team I would like to see play in the Orange Bowl and see if they can beat the big boys. I for one think they can. Any thoughts?
i will say this....after seeing what he did with boise st,and now utah......i think meyer is the best college coach right now bar none.....hands down.....
stoops is excellent.....but i shudder to think what meyer would do with oklahoma`s talaent....

Their opponents are a combined 30 wins 51 losses LMAO.....They play in a conference with The Little Sisters of the Poor. Seriously, I sure hope the BCS looks beyond their record vs the likes of

Utah is a solid football team but does not deserve to be in over the other teams in the top 10. I know it's not their fault for what conference they are in and who they play but they just don't deserve to be in over a team from a power conference. What would make it really easy is to have a playoff system then they could join the fun but we all know that's not happening anytime soon.
I know this is a hard way to look at things but think about it.

It might be close, but with great coaching and senior leadership they will beat any one. People like to harp on their defense, but what they forget is the offense will score however many points it takes to win.

they just can't. i thought oklahoma would win the whole thing this year when it started, but after watching them, the receivers drop balls after balls, the defense gives up a ton of points, and they have no play makers on defense of offese for that matter.

utah has already had other bowl reps come and see them play.

It would all boil down to who was ranked higher at the start of the year which is a tragedy. Only a playoff will end all doubt. The current system stinks. In 2000 Oklahoma won it all and was the only undefeated team yet I don't think they were the best team (Oregon St. had a great team that year). They got lucky and got the worst one loss team out of the lot Florida St to play for the title. If Auburn finishes undefeated this year they are gonna screw Oklahoma and Wisconsin out of a shot at the title.
It all sucks and hopefully out of Auburn, USC, Oklahoma, Wisky, and Utah there will only be 2 undefeated by the end so it will work out, but I doubt that will happen. As of right now I think that USC and Wisky should be playing for the title but that's just my opinion and anybody else's is worth just as much as mine.
