Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page to lambast Paul Ryan’s new proposed 2015 budget, calling it “the definition of insanity.” She wrote:

My Own Final Four Bracket For America’s Future

Holy Moly! Are you kidding? You’d think one who is representing the mighty Badgers, who made it to the Final Four based on sacrificial work ethic and discipline that obviously pays off in the end, he who represents the great state of Wisconsin that hosts this underdog celebrated college basketball team, would understand that future success depends on hard work and sacrifices. The latest Ryan (R, Wisconsin) Budget is not an April Fool’s joke.

But it really IS a joke because it is STILL not seeing the problem; it STILL is not proposing reining in wasteful government overspending TODAY, instead of speculating years out that some future Congress and White House may possibly, hopefully, eh-who-knows, take responsibility for today’s budgetary selfishness and shortsightedness to do so.

THIS is the definition of insanity. Do we still not understand how dangerous it is to allow government to grow unchecked as we shackle ourselves with massive debt – a good portion of which is held by foreign nations who don’t necessarily like us? If we can’t balance the budget today, what on earth makes us think it will happen at some future date? The solution is staring us in the face. We need to rein in spending today, and don’t tell me there is nothing to cut when we know every omnibus bill is loaded with pork and kickbacks.

President Obama didn’t like Ryan’s budget either but he was a little more elegant than Palin when describing it.

He called it a “stinkburger”

I shit you not people. That’s your President. You should be so proud.

She's never been a community organizer or worked for Saul Alinsky.

Although she is not the whackjob that NBC News says she is, is she out of line by even speaking here?

Besides criticism, what is she offering right now?

BTW, I agree with what she says a lot more than I disagree with what she says. I'm just wondering why she is speaking out about this and why should we be lending her much credence at this point?

Her opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

What else should she offer? She is no longer in any office.

agreeing with sarah palin shows your intelligence. and as far as pork goes, she was for the "bridge to nowhere" when governor of alaska. the biggest fleecing pork project ever. then when the country found out that the reason it was being built was solely for pork for her and the sleaziest congressman in office, she flip flopped on it, campaigned as though she was always against it, all while being investigated by the alaskan state senate for ethics violations.

she is one of the stupidest human beings on the planet to the point where lunatic republicans have distanced themselves from her.

She is speaking out because she sees what a joke Ryan is.

I used to think Ryan really wanted to do right for our country, reign is spending, reduce the debt, have a balanced budget. I thought he was fiscal conservative.

But after he capitulated to Murray on the last budget deal I now know I was wrong. He is just another can kicking Rino.

As for giving credence to Palin, I don’t know how many people will agree, hell, I don’t even know how many people will actually read what she had to say. I can't speak for them but I give her credence because she achieved the level of Governor of Alaska and from what I’ve read a pretty damn good one. And besides that she has common sense which is more than I can say about the majority of citizens in this country.

And of couse I agree with her.

What exactly would she like to see happen? Balance the budget in one year? That's not realistic, unless you advocate substantially shrinking GDP (thereby throwing the US into a recession).

Maybe, maybe not. But when there is no effort put into it what would you expect?

She is asking if not now, when? Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe the has been a budget passed let alone balanced since Obama has been in office, maybe longer.

If you and I took that approach with our personal finances we’d end up bankrupt.

I see no urgency on the part of our current House and Senate to take fiscal responsibility.

When will it happen, in 5 years, 10 years, ever?

That is the point she’s trying to make.

As for throwing the country into recession, if we continue down the path we’re on we’ll be happy if it’s just another recession and not a full blown depression.

We’re getting dangerously close to being Europe.
